Forums - Sony Discussion - Feelings about Uncharted 4?

They say a picture says 1000 words.

Game was pretty much perfect in my opinion, pushed boundaries between a game and basically playing a movie experience, probably as close as you'll get to playing an actual good Indian Jones video game.

4 was great, but the story was a little up and down. I felt quite often that they were covering all angles to make sure that Drake's story was explained and wrapped up as neat and tidy as possible, instead of just focusing on making it a crazy adventure. Knowing this was said to be the end of that part of the franchise, I could look passed that flaw fairly easily since the rest of the game was tight.

LL was almost like Nadine and Chloe weren't really all that into the adventure itself, and weren't all that blown away by the loot either. It was more about the reasons surrounding it. Where as with Nate, it almost always felt like he was there for the adventure, and the loot as great as it was, was secondary to it.

I would rate 4 slightly above 2, with both being superior to LL, 3, and 1. There really isn't one game in the series I would say that's bad, just not as good as 4 and 2, that's all.

I agree there were a couple of down periods but I still loved it, second best in the series after 2.

starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS

I don't really care for any of the Uncharted games.

Good game. But not stellar, because it was a bit same-ey. I'd say it's inferior to 2 and 3. I'd say 2 has the best gameplay and 3 the best story. I also think I have had more fun with the Tomb Raider games as video games than I did with 4, though Uncharted as a whole is way more polished, looks better and has better stories. Haven't played Lost Legacy yet, I do have it, and Golden Abyss was fun as well though obviously the lesser game.

2 > 3 > 4 > 1 > GA.

I think 4 was the best of the series. It introduced open world elements, which I guess some people see as "downtime", but I thought it was a necessary evolution because U3 started to feel a bit like the series was repeating itself. I loved that it wasn't all just one continuous path and the open world lended itself well to creating a sense of adventure instead of a tube-like experience. I actually had to look around and discover stuff for myself and do things in the order i chose, which is the essence of adventure. The action was as good as ever and the emotional weight was there. A worthy closure to a magnificent series of adventures.
The Lost Legacy was ok, but nothing special. Felt like a bonus adventure with women because women. I like the core characters more.

I loved every uncharted game, my rank is
1: uncharted 2
2: uncharted 4
3: uncharted the lost legacy
4: uncharted 3

"Something about it is boring, the story is beyond predictable, action is top notch"

...that is every Uncharted ever. I have only played 1-3 to see what the hype was about, and found each to be the above, and worse.

while i do enjoy the uncharted series. the games are very forgettable to me. way too much boring climbing  in uncharted 4.

I remember I was So excited for UC4 when i saw those two early teasers which presented the game as very dark, back then amy hennig was still incharge with a different cast and crew. Neil and bruce did a great job of getting the game out of the gates but in process they screwed it up big time..

As soon as it was decided sam wont be the villian the character became forced, I mean if he was the bad guy it made sense nathan to not talk about his brother with whom he had a shady past, But in the changed version he shared a good relationship, how can he not tell elena abt his brother?? in the end nates motivation for helping sam felt weak as i didnt care for his character at all.. And Nadine its better not to talk about it. just would like to say she felt forced even in lost legacy.

I wish we would have gotten amy henings version of uncharted 4, which was darker and by the rumors, nate had grey shades, also Amy's story had explanation in why nate had no remorse in killing a person.
