The same demo disc as the OP - with the difference that I owned CB3 as my first PS1 game, so I ended up playing the crap out of Spyro and Medievil instead.

Uff! It was a long time ago, but it was the Age of Empires demo. I had never played an RTS and I loved everything about it. Both my brother and I played it dozens of times before we got the full game.

Also the Civ V demo was so good that it sold me the game.

Kerbal space program. I have 162 hours on the demo according to Steam. In fact I got burned out on the demo and never bought the full game when it was finally finished.

I had this special Final Fantasy Demo disc for PS1 that had like a demo of FF8 along with a ton of other FF goodies on it.

Also Resident Evil 5 demo. My fiance and I played the hell out of it and since then she enjoys coop games a lot.

PS1 demo disc with Tekken 2, Parappa the Rapper, Intelligent Qube and many others.

I remember Bravely Default had a fantastic demo, spent like 10 whole hours on it. Hours!

Too bad the demo didn’t make you repeat the same game 5 times to simulate the full experience.

That's exactly what I came here to say. For those who already played The Stanley Parable, it's worth it to go back and play the demo too if you haven't.

How could I not mention Viewtiful Joe?! It was from that same GameCube demo disc. Of the 5 demos I bought Viewtiful Joe and Soul Calibur 2. Both amazing games both amazing demos.

For the love of me I don't know why, but when I was a kid I played the crap out of the Sonic Heroes Demo Disc...in hindsight...I must have been one stupid kid.

But one that I can really say has made an impression on me was the Octopath Traveler Demo, I'd already said I was going to get the game before the demo but the demo itself set the bar high. Can't wait for it in a few months!

Had a demo of Dark Forces on PC many years ago. Put a lot of hours into that.

The Resident Evil 2 demo that came with RE: Director's Cut also took up a lot of my time.
