I've just watched 25 hours of gameplay total(hard mode) from a twitch streamer... what I've seen so far is that the games is extremely overrated.

I can count how many games that aren't great I would watch a total 25H of gameplay.... that would be none.

This is today's """"gamers""" in a nutshell.

I WATCHED A VIDEO GAME. And they're Proud to say it...

No, no. You don't understand. They watched it being played on hard mode. ^_^

For over 25 hours that's quite the achievement.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

Guess if sony put this achievement on the game, if you watch the twitch through PS4.

📣 Alright, guys. I see the ‘25-hr’ comment has ruffled feathers. I get it, but let’s not make that the new topic of discussion. ;p

Bummer... stop bringing sense to a hype thread.

To some people, cartoon art direction looks more appealing (note I did not write "superior"); to others, realistic art direction looks more appealing. Of course they aren't going to agree.

No one said these people can't find it appealing.

The thing is they try to put as cartoon = good art direction, realistm = no art direction, just copy and paste reality.

And the other thing is that they use their preference of art direction to determine that the graphics of one game is better than another and even more when talking about it technically and saying a game of that caliber is possible on said nintendo hardware.

I don't really care either way personally. It's all about the game feel for me. Story and graphics are a bonus, if good, and ignored if not.

If you don't care why were you answering on it?

I actually never played God of War. Not a hack and slash player for the most part. And I went mostly of gameplay videos to make that decision.

Based on gameplay videos I think this might be a game for me. So I am getting it.

It will be my 1st GoW but I am not too worried about not getting the story or something based on what I have read the previous games were not too deep in that area so probably not missing much.

The GoW franchise actually has a surprisingly good story that has quite a bit to it. The reason the past games don't get much credit for their story is because of their over the top cartoon-ish characterizations. Especially of Kratos.

This is something people who only watch snippets of the game on Youtube will never understand.

The cartoonishly over the top nature of the characters is both explained by the story itself and by the source material. God of War accurately represents the tone and characters in the Greek mythology.

I do agree with this.

Ignoring the bickering, seems like everyone is enjoying the game. You cannot get everyone to like a particular game. Mario O was the shit and Zelda BotW was not my cup of tea (very alluring game). This God of War is getting reviews from 8-10.

This God of war get 8~10 on over 101 reviews,it is a masterpiece.

Because I felt like it? Didn't realize I needed a written reason to make a comment in a forum. :P
