Nah it's more likely the big publications pay for an increased importance of their reviews.
Anyway it survived the edge review. Now it will need its next few reviews to bring it back up a bit so it can survive its next bad review.

No..they should all be rated equally and a hobbyist blog simply shouldn’t be counted at Metacritic.

Its not. But in the context of my post discussing the games ability to remain at 95 then and 8 is bad.
Cory Barlog was more than greatfull when God Of War reached 93 on Metacritic. I think dispite how much some reviews bring it down just or not it's important for us who believe the game is a masterpiece in our eyes understand that nothing can change that. Literally nothing but your own self.

Its a 96 technically for N4G's cumulative reviews 142 to be exact, checked out a lot of a few of these sites, their reviews are very well written shame that aren't on Metacritic considering the other garbage that's on there.

Wteff? It dropped THIRTEEN places from that 80! How the hell weighted is Edge? Every two 100s increased its placing by 2-3, so I cant believe an 80 dropped it so significantly. Unless the majority of remaining reviews are 100s, I see no way for it to maintain its 95 after the impending 60-70 scores from QtT and GameCritics.

God of War is at the very bottom of the 95s on MC, so yeah, it's close to being a 94, but there have been so many reviews at this point that it's score is pretty well set where it's at. And what do you mean by impending 60 - 70 scores?
Where do you think God of War deserves to be on the list of the greatest games of all time? Do you think a 95 is about right?
I think many people are blinded by the hype right now, and just want to see a game perform very well because it's fun and exciting to be living in a time where something monumental is happening. But the real winners are us gamers who get to enjoy awesome games by awesome developers, amirite?
I'm enjoying God of War immensely, but damn I wish I spent far less time in that damn canoe. As a completionist who likes to explore every nook and cranny at the earliest opportunity, this game can be very tedious.
