Who thinks it’ll land at 96? Uncharted 4 had around 110 reviews, so there should be some left for God of War as well :)

Predicted 15+ million lifetime-sales for God of War:

Can't wait but I have to he careful with spoilers.

If someone asks why I'm using an alt account, CGI and Truckusaurus got me a temp approval until I get my iconic and notorious "kurasakiichimaru" account back. :p

Call me optimistic but I reckon this game is going to be quite good.

Bah!

The two in progress reviews also sound like they'll be 90+

So for the greyed out reviews on the bottom of the page, are only the reviews with the clock symbol the ones that will eventually get a score? And the ones with the 3 horizontal dots are review sites that don’t assign scores?

What other game has just kept rising the ranks like this? Normally they start the highest and then drop. This started at 93 and now is half way towards a 96. Crazy.

Nioh started as 85 and finished as 88

I think certain games have less flaws than others, so where a game like Uncharted 4 has really high highs, it has obvious lows in it's pacing among other things. This is more likely to cause lower reviews. GoW seems to have very little glaring flaws if any going by everything I've read, leaving a more general consensus of it's quality, thus the MC average increase. It sort of stands with Resident Evil 4 and BoTW in terms of huge shakeup of the franchise, where was Uncharted 4 was more about improving a tried and true formula.

I had literally zero interest in picking this up at release. But all those perfect scores and wanting to avoid any "last of us-esque" spoilers should they smack me in the face is making me change my mind.

Uncharted 4 suffered from a bait click review, a 4/10 from a guy that didn't want to play it, or videogames actually, and even used the fact the game was really good at something to somehow say it's a bad thing.

By then it was at 94 and saw the normal drop high rated games have, as it's really hard to keep such a high average with so many reviews.

I remember that, and metacritic wouldn't remove the review. I actually see GoW staying at 95 to be honest though. Might even reach 96 if a few more 10/10's come through, though it would be constantly in danger of dropping to a 95.

It can still drop as far as 93, even as 94 would be a more realistic drop from what it looks like.

Basically there is EDGE that can go anyway and if the guy from Quarter to Three decides to touch it it's definitely dropping at least to 94. He took until late May to review Horizon last year so the score can still be dropping quite later when it looks like it's set.

We'll see. It's starting to climb pretty high into the 95 range. If it keeps getting perfect scores like most of the recent reviews added, it could even get to 96 for a moment. Unless someone comes in with a 6/10 score or lower, it could stay at 95. This one really seems to be uniting the industry. While it's not getting quite as many perfects as BotW or Odyssey, it's yet to get as low of a score as either of them had by this point either (Odyssey got its first sub 80 around the 30 mark and BotW around the 75 mark).

Exactly.

The three dots are reviews that have no score, the clocks mean the reviews are still in progress but will have a score when finished.

Sweet, thanks for the info man! I never knew that. That’s good for GoW when it comes to the Kotaku and Eurogamer reviews then. I didn’t read much of either bc I feared spoilers, but what I read seemed more negative than positive.

What else has QtT reviewed infamously badly? They didn’t review Uncharted 4 that I saw. And taking until May to review is ridiculous. I don’t see how that’s even allowed. You can have so many things spoiled by that time.
