I don't get this..... you bought the XB1 at launch, and have a gaming PC.....

Since launch or for a good while you feel the only XBox game worth menntioning is FH....... and yet you still went and bought an XB1X? And you have a gaming PC?

I'm sorry, not knocking on your XB preferences here, but that makes zero sense to me. Hell, it almost sounds irresponsible.

As much as I agree with you, I don't think this is the place to berate someone for their poor decisions.

Not berating him, just pointing out that I don't understand that whole thought process. I think in my post I even made that clear with the bolded part.

I mean its clear that he has an XB1 preference, thats ok. But he also has a gaming PC, which means he probably can get all his XB1 games on the PC anyways, but scratch that, say he prefers gaming on a couch and TV..... doesn't still explain why he would shell out another $500 for the XB1X while admitting he hasnt had anything to play on it for a while (before XB1X even rleased) and adhering to a knowledge of the amount of stuff he's interested in from sony's camp.

Its puzzling......

I wonder if anyone will top that this year? It'll be quite a challenge... by the time you start getting into the mid 90's any review that isn't absolutely stellar can cost ya a point or two.

If anyone can do it, I'd say it would be Red Dead Redemption 2. So excited for that game and the first one (Well, second technically) got in the 95 range!

Yeah that one seems most plausible. Not sure what else would have a realistic shot at a 96 assuming this game stays at 95. I'd love to see RDR2 do it though as lord would I love for them to nail that game as well :D

Sony stays winning. Your move Microsoft.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

unfortunately for MS, it took sony over 3 console generations to reach this point. Slowly but steadily building a formidable list of first party studios and as such the condidence in them to let them do what they want. As early as last year MS was still sipping the EA coolaid of saying SP games arent worth it and GAS is the future.

Good luck to them though, they will need it.

I see this whole gen as an opportunity, for them to do just that. Sony really doubled down on expanding the horizons for 1st party content.

Super Smash Bros. for Switch will certainly score over 90%, sell more than God of War and be played for longer periods of time.

This is true, but it doesn't mean it will win Game of the Year.

I agree I'll probably get more play out of it than any other game, but replayability is not the same as overall quality.

Depends on what nintendo has to announce really, given thats its only of the few companies, that announces something and releases the same year.Smash might get that kind of score for example.Outside of that, maybe Red Dead 2 can also top it and KH III.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
