I noticed that, too. My guess is that at the beginning of the gen, Sony saw catering to indies as a big PR opportunity when Microsoft was still seen as the 'bad guy' (MS used to not allow self-publishing, for instance). However, Microsoft has already loosened up its policies on indie devs so Sony no longer sees catering to indies as a worthwhile investment.

This is true, and I wish more people would realize it. The only difference between huge companies is how they go about said greed. Some companies view being good to the consumer is a way to achieve that wealth. Others think the best way is outright lies and the whole "let's get their money first, then if they find out we lied to them, who the fuck cares?" mindset. 

But in the end, yes, it's all about the money.

So you come out paint that picture, so now pubs your size that reads this think “hmm, maybe i should just deal with nintendo only”.

Should have kept some of thoes comments to himself. Not only should he say sorry but also correct the image of Sony he just created in this interview. I mean sony, nin, and ms are only out there looking for the best deals for their platforms. If this is not the case then i would like to know what nin said to him that convinced him to make the deal with nin and he could not go back to sony for a counter offer, you know like how we do in business?

Sony's reign of terror over Japanese developers will soon be over. The Dark Ages are over, time to switch on the light again.

Either way, Sony's consoles have been unpopular in Japan since the PS3. It's good news for everyone that Japanese developers can focus on a popular console again. Too many developers were wasting their resources on something like the Vita.
