I've tried it and don't like it 6 15.79%

I've tried it unsuccessfu... 4 10.53%

I've never tried, and I t... 3 7.89%

Online dating is still a bit taboo in my country and not really that popular since it's so easy to meet a lot of people due to its small size. Personally I've never tried it.

It's not great but it's easy and it can work. If you're not willing to invest much time or effort, online dating is the way to go - and it ought to complement other methods quite well too, if you have other methods as well.

As for my experiences, I do have them. My success rate was very low, but I haven't had the need for any kind of dating in years now, thanks to online dating.

I found my wife that way, so pretty successful for me. Funny thing though that it wasn't on a traditional dating site (tagged) and that neither of us at first was interested into a relationship with one another, but that quickly changed

Same here.

OMG does that mean I'm actyally your wife ?

Of course I haven't done that yet because I have no money, because its either 50/50 or 100% of the bill.

Just go to a coffee shop for a first date.  Or, as cheesy as it sounds, a walk in the park.  In my experience, those are better than dinner and drinks anyway, as thats what everyone else is offering.

I mean yeah first date always has to be pretty cheap. But I am more talking about subsequent dates. Don't want to get into a relationship if I can't even support myself yet.

not something id do

well Ive done the pay sites and free ones. The paid sites at least give more local ladies, however, about %90 of the time the pics they sent do NOT at all look like them, which is already a no-go because it shows dishonesty. Also have had several propositions from prostitutes, which is not why i am on a dating site to begin with, not my lifestyle.

No dates were more than one, it was mostly bad that I couldn't wait to get away to be honest. Chemistry is there or it isnt.

The free sites are about 99% scams that want an itunes card or their grandma is dying and need money.

That has been my experience so far. I am not on any at the moment as I have other priorities at the moment keeping me busy.

Met my wife on one 14 years ago. Been married 10 years this July. I feel you need to kind of play by the same rules you would normally use in real life, but the initial contact is generally easier for those with social anxiety/issues. I feel rejection is a little easier too, if it's done before you meet face to face.

I have been trying numerous online dating apps for 8 years and have never managed so much as a hookup from it.

I am currently on Tinder, Plenty of Fish, OKCupid, Bumble, and Coffee Meet Bagel. Almost every day I use my 100 free swipes on Tinder, which cumulatively means I have swiped right on over 50,000 women. I got only 10 matches from that, 1 per 5000 right swipes, and none of which went as far as a date.

Between the other sites I have probably messaged close to 100,000 women over the past 8 years, without any success. Every day I go through all new matches that have come up on Bumble, OKCupid, and CMB, and message around 10 women on Plenty of Fish.

The common denominator is me, so I figure I'm just undateable.

Ah well, you can't have everything in life.
