True.
For context, how long did it take ps3 to achieve this?

Yeah on my ps4 I got through a crazy amount of games. We get spoilt for choice. |
I remember when I was a child and to own games were like one very old game per year, the rest just rented.

Some people have other hobbies outside of gaming.

I think my husband and I have around 50 games physical and digital combined. I'm always amazed how many people own 3-5 games for a system they have for years.

PS2 was basicaly a monopoly. Now there are more people playing games on other platforms like PC today than in early 2000s when everybody only thought about a PS2 when it comes to gaming. The gaming market as a whole actually grew since then.
I for example was mostly console gamer during PS2 era, only owned a PS2 and a basic PC for Diablo and some MMOs, now my main platform of gaming is PC, with a PS4 just for the 1st party titles.

35 games so far....its not over yet :D
I know I have at least +10 more games I want but I decided to hold back just cause of my backlogs. i figured why buy them Day 1 at full price when by the time I actually get the time to play them they'll be cheaper.

Same here! I find it a bit sad cause you spend good money investing into these consoles to only play a handful of games. They definitely didn't get their money's worth. I know a few people that buys systems just for a single game like CoD and thats all they'll play. Like its nice to see some dedication but they're missing out on a lot.
