Wait, what? That's quite ridiculous, why the hell would they ever even consider implementing that?

I'm almost sure Nintendo asked them to do. They have no faith in the skill of their fanbase.

Does it matter though? People don't need to prove they're hardcore or anything. What matters is just enjoying whatever game you get, and if that helps people enjoy it all the more, then that's pretty cool in my book.

There is the possibility it will outdo the XBO, but the PS4 should surely be ahead, IMO.

Its priced very well on Switch too.

There will be no interest for other console owners to get the game, so yeah it'll sell more on the switch since it's going to release for the first time on that console.

Honestly the remaster isn't even worth it and it looks last gen regardless of the console but it pretty much looks like a direct xbox 360 port on the switch.

It depends of implementation.

If it's Save anywhere like usual Save and Quit, and when you die your save game reflects that by overwriting that only save slot and that's it, that's just convinience and that's ok...otherwise, not so much.

I've never played Dark Souls, so I don't really get this whole 'save' thing. If I end up getting it, I'll just try to have a good time with the game.

DS have only one save slot per character that auto saves - you can also save when you're exiting game. So wherever you are at the moment and in whatever crap you got yourself into, it will be reflected next time you start the game - there's no reloading of "safe" save from before - it's part of the reason why Souls are considered hard (although, there are way more harder games).

I can't find any info on what exactly they've changed for Switch version, but if it's only Save anywhere and nothing else is changed, then that's just convenience - but then again, you can be distracted in middle of any Souls when you play on any console or PC, and FS didn't care to implement it ever since Demon's, so there's that...

Looking at the poll, my prediction is about 2/3 bold (as roughly two of three of the poll-voters disagree with me while the third agrees with me).

my greatest games: 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023

10 years greatest game event!

bets: [peak year] [+], [1], [2], [3], [4]

I agree because the game has already been released on playstation and xbox systems.

Well in a rather bizarre twist, what metrics we have in the States shows the Switch version way ahead while the opposite is indicated in the COMG charts.
