Forums - Gaming Discussion - Doom graphics comparison Xbox One X vs Switch

I can't wait to play on the X at my uncle's house now that he got a new TV, I really want to see how it looks!

Well, the Switch version only could look worse, so there's that =D

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

Switch looks terrible. but nobody should be playing multi plat games on the Switch anyway. Nintendo games are fine.

A lot of people do not understand this and are determined to make the Switch into something it is not. Nintendo games are fantastic non-Nintendo games on Nintendo platforms are always dreadful compared to the competition.

Just for the Record

I own a PS4 Pro, PS4 Slim, Xbox One S, and 2 Nintendo Switches.

I thoroughly enjoyed Doom on the Switch and I'll be buying Wolfenstein II on it as well.

That's nice, but you would have enjoyed it more with better graphics. Point is, Switch is always going to be an inferior option to other avenues for multi plat games. I have one, but I'm only using it for Nintendo games

Actually, I would've enjoyed it less without gyro controls, which matter more to me than graphics.

Also, this way I save myself spending hundreds of dollars for a new console I don't want.

We're not going to factor that in to enjoyment of the game itself, that's a different question. However unless you have played substantial minutes on max settings on a PC I dont believe you can say you would have enjoyed it more on a Switch.

Whether you believe me or not is irrelevant. I know for a fact that I enjoy gyro controls more than prettier pixels.

Skipping multiplats on Switch as you suggest would have resulted in me missing out on Doom, a game I greatly enjoyed, while playing a different version as you suggest would've not only robbed me of the fun of playing it with motion controls, but also cost me a large (and unnecessary) sum of money as I do not own a PS4, Xbox One, or gaming PC.

I take the one with 60fps this is one of those rare games where every frame matters. Being in 4k is a nice bonus. But let's be honest even the standard Xone version knocks the Switch version out of the ballpark. Since that's also running in 60fps and is a lot closer to the XoneX than the Switch is to the Xone.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar
