Again, do you have posts to back up your claims?

I don't have time for that now but i can point out: someone always think vita and ps like a god send that can do anything or another guy have something about PS relate to his name. That's enough, can't say anything about this anymore

So, essentially you made that statement and when asked for sources/posts that would confirm what you said you are unable to provide them. In any case, I guess you want to move on so I will.
Did somebody say strawman?

I will find them to use them as a proof to prepare when any Sony fan try to bash about Switch graphic and price again
Mr Puggsly said: Switch demonstrates greater capabilities than 7th gen consoles. Essentially it can better handle new engines, its play last gen content at higher resolutions (mixed performance), but it still feels like a far cry from what 8th gen consoles are doing. In a nut shell, the best looking Switch content resembles last gen but with extra polish. Doom is impressive on Switch, yet nowhere near the standard X1 version in asset quality, effects, resolution, performance, etc. |
Not only is the Switch faster... But is also capable of more effects.
The Switch is firmly between the Xbox 360 and Xbox One in terms of capability... And you know what? That is perfectly okay.
It is also okay to want more.
curl-6 said: I still think Doom on Switch looks more like an 8th gen game than a 7th gen game; textures and image quality are decidedly last gen, but the rendering techniques used (PBR, subsurface scattering, GPU accelerated particles, bokeh depth of field, etc) are more in line with what you'd typically see on PS4/Xbone. As such I'd say it looks current gen, just low end current gen. Similarly, the Xbox One X version still looks current gen, just at the higher end of the polish/settings scale. |
It's certainly this generation, very low-end for this generation though.
It is doing more effects and higher quality effects than the 8th gen, I honestly can't wait to see how games look in 5+ years time.
HoangNhatAnh said: Yeah, and? How many years i have to wait to run Xeno 2 and Super Smash Bros on that emulator at least decent? 2, 3 or 4 years? In this time, next Xenoblade or the new Monolith Soft game are come out already. So wait that long and i wonder what kind of super small PC portable fit my pocket LOL |
Do you have an argument that isn't a red herring? You are delving into logical fallacies and that simply means you have lost the debate.

Yeah, agreed. I too am very interested to see how far the Switch gets pushed over the next few years, and what its most graphically accomplished games end up looking like by the time all's said and done.

And guess what? Switch reach vita sales LT already even though it have almost the same price as vita, wonder why? |
That is because Sony fans found the price to not be acceptable among other things, so where is the defense of the PSVita price? Only in your head right? Aren't you sick of spinning so much? You switch among the same arguments to avoid accepting any point and trying to make anything as an insult to Nintendo as if made by fanboy, challenge the person on what he is saying and then go back and full circle.
HoangNhatAnh said:
You should watch entire posts since the beginning, to many people, especially Sony fans like someone here said $300 for a HH is too expensive but vita cost $250 as well as $40 - $50 for a memory card required and it can get a pass when many vita fans ignored the memory card combine with vita price on purpose. They praised vita is (10 times stronger) a generation ahead of 3ds (heh, not even close) and claimed it cost the same $250 (as if they can play vita without any memory card). Yeah, so vita can get a pass for that almost same price, why can't Switch? |
300 for a HH is expensive, guess which Nintendo HH had to receive a price cut because it had low sales due to high price? 3DS. And PSVita had a memory card, issue was that it was small so you had to buy an expensive propietary card to really use your Vita well, and that was complained over and over in VGC.
Considering your post above, guess who got the free pass? Switch because not only people like you are defending it, but it also is selling great. PSVita didn't got a free pass, it sold poorly.

Yes, someone that take criticism against Nintendo as personal attacks and do personal attacks as arguments.

If Doom was on last gen it almost certainly wouldn't have retained the core rendering tech of the PS4/Xbone versions as the Switch does, it would've stripped out current gen techniques such as PBR, much like the PS3/360 versions of Advanced Warfare. |
Totally agree, after watching the two videos in the parts that were the same scene, I really couldn't see much of a difference visually asides from more vivid colours on the XBoxX version, not sure if that is HDR........not saying there wouldn't be in full glory 4k TV but on my 14 inch laptop screen, I really couldn't tell one from the other. There looked to be a very obvious difference when the Doom slayer was inside with the outside on the Switch looking kind of washed out but when the doom slayer went outside with the rocks and outside scenery, I couldn't really see a difference.
