Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Rumor: MS has marketing on Cyberpunk 2077, Battlefield V, Borderlands 3, Splinter Cell, and more

Words can't describe how ready I am for Borderlands 3.

Around the Network

Borderlands 3

Cyberpunk 2077

Splinter Cell

Battlefield V

Anthem

Madden

Shadow of the Tomb Raider

The Division 2
Thats the full list of games.

Given that CD Projekt RED expect to launch Cyberpunk 2077 "before 2021", I think it's a bid early to talk about marketing rights, specially given that we don't know if it will launch this gen, the next one, or both as a cross-gen title.

But Borderlands and specially Splinter Cell are possible.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

Exclusive marketing right on unannounced titles...
Does that mean I won't hear of the games' releases if I don't own a Xbox?

I don't care who has marketing rights over cyberpunk as long as I get to see more of it already.

Borderlands 3 has been in development for a while now, correct?

Since January 2015. We know 2K has a big unannounced game releasing this fiscal year (which ends March 2019), so that game is almost assuredly Borderlands 3.

I hope it's a masterpiece. I myself didn't really like Borderlands (2) when I tried it.

You know what, I tend to get games on PlayStation consoles, but Splinter Cell is one main exception (I have all of the main games on the Xbox consoles), so if there is a new Splinter Cell I'll probably pick that up for the Xbox One As for the rest if I get them, I'll go with PS4.

I wonder if this is a new marketing push by Microsoft to see how much they would get back from having multiple exclusive marketing deals of big releases at once, or if they already knkw this would work.

i honestly don't know if exclusive marketing deals actually work. It seems the sales scale tip one way or the other depending on the game regardless of who has the marketing rights

Make sure sense MS would put their money on that since they have nothing else to show.
