I don't feel like arguing about this again, because you really don't understand what bigger franchise means.

And you clearly dont understand context, hence why you make outrageous claims all the time and dont "clarify" what you mean until multiple posts later.

There is no context 3d mario is a bigger franchise, period. you can say animal crossing can out sell 3d mario, because switch is a handheld, but even then  3d mario still out sells it, but they are very close, but there is no question 3d mario is a bigger franchise.

Neat, they updated how it looks

Bet with PeH:

I win if Arms sells over 700 000 units worldwide by the end of 2017.

Bet with WagnerPaiva:

I win if Emmanuel Macron wins the french presidential election May 7th 2017.

Smash 5 will be the best selling switch game and best selling game PERIOD this year.

It will destroy red dead.

Maybe it will outsell the individual skus but i cant see it outselling them combined.

The first red dead sold about 10 million units and I can see “some” growth or the opposite but I still think smash will beat it.

20 million for smash. The first time the game is on a hot console with high attach rate. The community is far larger than whatever it was during the Wii era.

Red dead redemption did 15 million units.

Not when talking about the Switch versions potential, which is what we were doing.

The series does 3-4x as much on handhelds, since Switch can be played as a handheld than it doesnt make sense to use the console-only releases to predict the Switch versions performance.

I don't feel like arguing about this again, because you really don't understand what bigger franchise means.

And you don't seem to understand what the bigger franchise here actually is. 3D Mario isn't all that big, Nintendo has a lot of series which are bigger than that, among them Animal crossing. Heck, you where saying that GoW4 will outsell Smash easily, even though GoW is a much smaller franchise than Smash with barely half as much sales (and that's being generous, it's 13M to 5M ffs)

Seriously, Nintendo hasn't yet released any of the big guns in terms of sales, save for Splatoon 2 in Japan. Fire Emblem had an enormous growth on the 3DS and became pretty huge, Animal Crossing kept getting bigger, Pokemon always are huge. Compared to any of them a 3D Mario is generally small fry. The reason they aren't in Switch yet is that they are still supporting the 3DS, hence why those teams didn't make the Switch (ha!) yet. Smash could also easily get up there if it can marry the good parts of the 3DS, Wii U, Brawl and Melee parts together, and it has been growing ever since it's inception on the N64.

at bolded that's a pretty silly thing to say and makes 0 sense. smash is a much bigger franchise then GOW, but GOW on ps4 is a totally different beast, and will do over 10 million, i just don't expect smash on switch do over 10 million.

A franchise that has sold ~5 million in each of its three numbered entries will sell over 10 million but the franchise that has blown past 10 million in its last two entries wont sell 10 million......gotta love the logic there.

Omg what the hell! Why do you bring up points that no brings up?

That said MK8D is a port thats going to sell at least 15mil lifetime.... How in the hell do you think a new MK would of sold if a port sold that much lol? If switch does close to 100mil a mk9 could do 30mil+

umm being port is a huge benefit,  because mario kart can come out so early in the system life time, and there are very little options, plus most who owned wiiu were hardcore nintendo fans i'm sure most would double dip for a portable version, not to mention the extra modes and 1080p. zelda on wii was a GC port yet it destroyed skyward in sales, also mario galaxy came out when wii install base was samll yet it out sold mario galaxy 2 by a huge amount. when ever mario kart 9 comes out it won't outsell mario kart 8.

Are you seriously saying ports only do well because they were on previous platforms? That's crazy. A game that was purchased by what, 8 million people on one platform would be lucky to sell 8 million on the next. The only reason those games sell really well is because they are great quality games and the system that the ports are sold on is hugely successful. Also you cannot for a single minute think the majority that bought mk8 on wii u bought it on Switch too.

Now the PSN cards are gone.

Sony and Amazon need to rectify this!

There is something bigger between Amazon and Sony, try to pre-order  Detroit, Spiderman, Days Gone all upcoming sony's first party games are unavailable to pre-order or not listed.

I have noticed this trend since last year, first thing I noticed was amazon.us suddenly making some Sony's games as not elegible to be send to México (knack 2 being the first then Horizon Zero dawn complete edition, then god of war and so on)

You make it sound like a conspiracy. Lol.

I don't understand how PSN cards can be unavailable though? They are digital thus they cannot run out of stock? Or am I missing something?

SSB only did 10 million on one platform and that was called wii, it not guaranteed to do 10 million on switch.
