This is why you need to start quantifying things because this just feels like backpeddling.

Your quote was, "i honestly dont think SSB will be that big"

So 12 million is the point where a game goes from "not that big" to big?

In that case, its unlikely that GOW or Spider Man will be big.

This is "falling off a cliff" all over again, isn't it?

Try using context. people act like SSB will destroy GOW and Spider when it comes to sales. i said it wont be that big in that context.

" honestly don't think SSB switch will be that big, it's last game only did 5.32 million on wii u. I don't see how they can  the refine the formula   like zelda or mario 3d world, we'll see soon enough."

I read the post. Where you also left out the sales on the 3ds... Gow and spiderman not mentioned.

Context not required.

Gow does have a fair crack at outselling ssb though. Hype train and excellent reviews will help. Accessible to new players on a massive install base...

I wouldn't be shocked imo.

God of War up to #6 on best selling of the year.

It's the 1st real big AAA of this year after MHW, should at least take the #1 spot  (exclusively) until Autumn. (Unless SMO has a sudden spike and gives a good sweat to GOW)

Well, that depends also on how leggy GOW4 will be. If it gets very frontloaded due to all the positive press then other games may very well crawl back past it over timed.

Well i didn't mention in that post. a few pages back i said GOW/spiderman has a chance of beating SSB, people laughed, saying it's impossible, and that i'm nuts. i left out sales on 3ds because its not a valid comparison, thats on 2 consoles. how about we use 3ds sales only, and that sold 9.16 million.

But... It's the same game. Not to mention that the Switch is a hybrid system. Making the addition of both versions worth mentioning.

I agree with you that it has a chance.

And that's your biggest problem with posting here.

You almost always do that and then add additional points/limitations/etc... to it on subsequent posts every time you get corrected. Of course that looks to everybody like you're continuously moving the goalposts around until they fit you. Better post all you think even if that becomes a long post and don't try adding additional qualifiers afterwards, because it just makes it almost impossible to argue or having a level-headed discussion with you.

About leaving out the 3DS version, seriously? Because a) The Switch is a hybrid console, both handheld and home console, and even more importantly b) it's the same friggin'game! Could as well say that digital sales of GOW don't count, that would be just as logical.

In any case, while GOW4 may have a shot, it's a pretty small chance. Even if it sells twice as much as GoW3, the bestselling entry in the series, sales would still be at just 9.62M, just barely over what the 3DS version of the last Smash sold alone.

Not really. smash on wiiu looks a generation better then the 3ds version, there is a huge reason to buy both versions for fans of the series.

That's because the 3ds isn't as powerful... Because it's a hand-held... I really feel like I shouldn't have to explain this yet.... Here I am.

Cross generation titles exist. BotW on WiiU and switch aren't separate games just because the Switch version looks better. Totals added together.

As for the buying both versions... Pokemon. Totals still added together.
