Pretty poor from SRW sadly, but at least it looks like it's a fairly cheaply-made sequel so shouldn't be a huge loss.

that was the case with all Japanese released not named MHW. Japan is just not interested in consoles unless they get the biggest titles

they want final fantasy, they want dragon quest, they want  kingdom hearts etc. the other problem is that a lot of these games that used to be only on playstation platform are now also on PC.  so it ends up being whatever

Japan is no longer a major region for Sony. what was the last japanese focused first party title. must been like rogue galaxy?

PC releases have absolutely zero impact on Japanese sales. There is less of a market on PC than there is for Vita and 3DS in Japan.

As far successes on PS4, there are several games that have sold way beyond expectation. While they may not be producing the numbers of MHW, doesn't change the fact that they're very satisfied. Sony has spent the dedicated time on developing Japan first party titles as their only big studio is Polyphony Digital whom makes the GT series. That hasn't stopped them from releasing Knack, The Last Guardian, Gravity Rush 2, or Everybody's Golf this generation. :-/

GT doesn't sell half what it used to. especially in Japan. again. Sony doesn't release first party titles for Japan anymore for a reason

Thanks! For whatever reason the one I tried to use for Bic Camera before kept giving me an error message.

Looks like everything is either backordered or completely sold out here as well.

You can forget what I said, I'm back to Bic Camera right now, and there is no PS4 available at all, everything is sold out except only one pre order available for the God of War limited edition Pro. And I'm taking it, so no PS4 available anymore here!

I checked the Switch this time, around 8 tickets for the normal one (8 and 8, both colors), and 5 for the Slaton bundle. No more stock issues for the Switch at all it seems.

EDIT: Actually, I just paid my pre order and checked the shelves behind the counter. No PS4 at all, just a couple of PSVR, but it wasn't only around 20 Switch. It was easily 60-80 Switch on the shelves, it was almost full of it. No shortage anymore, almost sure of it now ^^

I suppose you can say that you have Erased the inventory there.

Hard to know if this potential shortage is a cause of high demand or just low supply. The next few weeks of Media Create stats should provide a much clearer picture.

On the online side, Amazon is now selling the PS4 again and showing a shipping date of April 15.

Far cry 5 did excellent.
