Wow, what an awesome update!

How could I ever play Wipeout games outside of the VR cockpit? Such an immersion gain!

How is the HUD? Is it easy to keep track of?

i tired and it's the same deal as dirt rally and GT sport. Everything looks distorted, corners are harder to judge, the graphics look (obviously) flat and uninteresting compared and it's a LOT less fun. ^^

There's a few ships I've yet to unlock in 2048, prototypes and what not but from all the ships I've played so far, the HUD is well implemented and just a quick glance down while in first person, very natural and I honestly didn't even think of it until you mentioned it on here, it's very natural. While in third person it's the general border HUD setup and it takes a bit of a head turn to glance at it as it's just on the fov from the far camera and just outside of the FOV in the close trailing camera. First person is the way to play this game though, I've never been able to get the gold trophy for 65 zones before and easily got it today, blowing ship at zone 69.

I'll give it a shot but wasn't RE7 the killer app? And Far point?

I'm actually not the biggest Wipeout fan but I am curious to see how it feels to be inside of that world. How much does it cost?

It's a great collection so hopefully this boosts its sales a bit.

The tracks look superb but surely they could've put more effort into the craft interiors? They look like shit in that footage.

Not in the headset. They darken as you look up but they are remarkably good looking with wear and tear and little details added. Albeit they aren't on par with Eve Valkerie or RiGs but in wipeout your are going to a spend 90% of your time with eyes on the track, 5% on the HUD and the rest watching the competition. I'd rather this smooth FPS with crisp clean graphics than having hyper detailed cockpits.

I seen it at 24 euro in Argos and 30 euro in Gamestop here. Not sure what's it's on PSN as i bought it at release for 40 quid. I do know that it had dropped to 10 euro twice since the patch was announced though.

I bought the Omega collection for €18 earlier this months in a PSN sale. Combined with discounted PSN credit I paid €15

I bought the game at release for full price hoping for a VR patch. It took a while, yet wow, it smashed all my expectations. Right from the start it's fully transformed for VR, no need to switch to a VR mode or anything. 3D menus all tailored to the headset, and simply everything is available in VR.

First I turned off all the comfort options, internal view, lock camera to pilot and disable any view restrictions. It's amazing and so much better when you can look to where you are going. It makes the game a lot easier as well. Everything looks great, from the cockpit to the people cheering along the track. This is how I have always wanted to play Wipeout. 3 Campaigns to complete as well, this is going to be fun for a long time!

Beware it's definitely an 'advanced' VR title and the game kept turning comfort options back on the first time I played certain tracks or entered zone mode, with a motion sickness warning. Luckily I had no problems with that in the 2 hours with the game.

I played GT Sport VR before turning on Wipeout. F1500 GT on the Nurburgring, exciting, yet Wipeout is so much better and looks better too. (Environment, cars look better in GT Sport of course) I don't think I'll play the VR time trial mode much in GT Sport, Wipeout I'll be playing a lot.
