good decision. it had a good holiday period, but it seems to have been quiet in terms of releases so far this year.

That's still too high for my tastes, I hope they'll drop it even more down the line.

I wish the non-bundled base unit was receiving a discount as well. No interest in Skyrim, and 50-50 on Doom. Ah well. Good news for anybody on the fence.

Still too expensive for me. Least this means that the 2nd hand units might come down in price.

Oh yes, maybe they'll start giving them away with every valid purchase of raisin brand cereal at your local food market retailer. Juuust around the corner.

OT: Waiting on my company bonus to snag a PSVR for Moss and RE7.

They were on sale for these prices quite a bit during the xmas season. If we see some occasional discounts from these new base prices, I may take the plunge. Skyrim VR with the full setup for $300 would probably force my hand.

Yeah, I'd definitely get one if they did that!

I bought the headset at launch after trying it out a few times and felt it was more than worth it. At $300, and with a free game, it's a steal. I'd be surprised if they can drop the price much lower until the inevitable PSVR 2.

If you already have the PS camera, and don't immediately need Move controllers, you can get the headset for just over $200 right now: https://www.amazon.com/PlayStation-VR-4/dp/B01DE9DY8S/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1522255101&sr=8-4&keywords=psvr

There are plenty of demos on PSN to keep you occupied until you want to pick up a game, too, if money is a concern.
