Best be providing me a source for this, or i'll consider it trolling.

I think it is trolling, but it is also $15 off on most retailers.
(Walmart, Bestbuy, and Amazon, just did quick google search to see if his statement was remotely true)

$15 is standard these days. Bargain bin is like 70-80% of the release price.

I agree $15 is not bargain bin. (Also you guys can get 70-80% off stuff...damn lucky...)
I love how Splatoon 2 userbase went up over time unlike other games where it lost over 50% if its userbase just over a month.
Sometimes paying twitch streamers + overhyped by fan base dont always work.

What other games are you referring to BlackBeauty?

Easy for you to say when the game's target release date got delayed twice and it was well into mass production ... You seem rather concerned that Level-5's first release had to be Ni No Kuni II for the Switch but why that game specifically instead of The Snack World or Inazuma Elven Ares when Level-5 never released a title yet for the Switch prior to Ni No Kuni II ? At best what the Switch deserves are late ports in this stage of it's life and at worst it doesn't deserve the game because cutting into a developer's schedule isn't acceptable since they have better things to do than to just do ports of their games ... |
They also have better things to do then waste their time on PS4 games that take forever to develop and are expensive to make. I'm not suggesting they release Ni No Kuni 2 on Switch, I'm suggesting they should have used those resources for something like an ambitious Yokai Watch on Switch.
Level-5's biggest successes have all been on Nintendo consoles (Professor Layton, Yokai Watch).

Level-5 Hesitated On Releasing Ni no Kuni II In Japanese Since It Was Made For The West

Just a quick FYI for you. and for the other people as well.
Oh and one more thing.

Although it manage to sell over 500K. The success story is really overblown. Just a quick history for the sales of Ni NO kuni DS and to put more context on the discussion. The game was massively over shipped. It's initial shipment is 600K. Ni No kuni DS sold 170,548 in it's first week and It took a lot of price cut from retailers to sell the initial shipment.

The link below is where you can read the massive price cut after 2 weeks. Some of them are slashing the price at 44%

Now, when they said NiNo Kuni is specifically made for the west. They weren't lying. The PS3 version alone shipped. 1.1 Million in PS3 alone and DS 600K as of 2014 and Ni No Kuni was release in Jan. 2013 in the west. basically the west saved the NI No Kuni brand with Hino hinting they will make a sequel because of the sales in the west.

It looks like tbone's prediction of Splatoon 2 beating Dragon Quest XI in Japan is going to be a cakewalk now.
