I hope the Switch version isn't far off. Might end up getting the PC version.

Square-Enix's treatment of any of their projects on Nintendo platforms, mainly in the West, is absolutely pathetic. How backwards can you get.
Anyone wondering why DQ11 is taking so long to bring west...Square Enix is putting a ton of work into it. According to PlayStation Access, besides the game being translated into EFIGS (English French Italian German Spanish), the following is being added:
- Voice Acting (Japanese version has no VA) & 'lip syncing.'
- Revamped, more visually appealing menus
- A 'Run' button
- A 'First Person' mode
- A 'Draconian Quest' difficulty mode
- The ability to hide the UI (for Share button picture taking people)

I think it's very likely there will be a fan translation, not much use to most people unfortunately. |
If people decide to mod their 3ds to use the fan translation. After this news, it will definitely increase fast

That's pretty normal for Square Enix, they often make announcements years in advance, just look at FFVIIR or FFXV/VersusXIII, Kingdom Hearts 3 for some of the more extreme cases. I really wish they'd hold off on such early announcements. It's only when the game is actually nearly done and they have something real to show off that I get excited. |
Like FFVII R first show off in December 2015?
Wonderful ! 3 Masterpieces - Ni No Kuni 2, Dragon Quest XI and Kingdom Hearts 3 this year - a heaven for JRPG Fans!
De-Facto PS4/PC title in the west now, gonna take them a while for the NSW it seems.
if i play the game, it’ll be on switch. i hope for square enix’s sake they release the switch version at least by next year.
i’ll probably pick it up when it’s cheaper too. so maybe two/three years down the line. my backlog is too gigantic to justify buying $60 games nowadays.
