And then let somebody else run the entire project to a person that doesn't have the same vision or understand the original concept to only change it up with chopped up stories to be filled in later with like 25 DLC stories

The new director would obviously need little experience in AAA game developement too, I mean, they need to promote a director that only worked on remasters, spin-offs and portable games for project that big.

Exactly!  Nothing better than to have inexperienced directors to work on AAA games lol

Honestly if Square want this new team to at least start off on the right foot, get Tabata to bring Crisis Core: FF7 to the PS4 like they did with Type-0.  Crisis Core seems like his best work and since he was in charge of that he cant mess that up.   .....right? xD

Star Ocean 5 is not a high quality AAA RPG. Star Ocean 5 borderlines C/B. Nobody ever said SE was not capable enough to announce and release a game in a respectable timeframe, because they do. People just like to act like they dont.

OK, but amazing gameplay and story, right?

If it was your first Star Ocean.

Star Ocean 5 was an apologetic love letter to Star Ocean fans. The story gives nod to the plot elements of the previous Star Ocean games while being a predecessor to 3. I saw the plot twist coming a mile away. It brings no new elements to the table for long time Star Ocean fans. In regards to the battle system I find it to be a step backwards. Not  bad, but nowhere near as refined as 4.

In that case, there still is FFVII Remake

SO5 gameplay was a step back they could have added so much more to have the gameplay flow better but they didnt. I enjoyed the game but I wanted so much more out of it.

As long as SE and Tabata dont announce the game they're working on until its like 50% done then thats cool.

50%? They can take 4 - 5 years for 50% left, you know

I would actually love a Crisis Core remaster, with an orchestral soundtrack. I can already see Nomura getting replaced by Tabata on FF7:R XD

Nooooo!!! FF7R was one of the reasons why he got taken off FF Versus XIII.  His sacrifice away from Versus XIII can't be for nothing! lol

I honestly wish we all could've played Versus XIII the way he intended on finishing.

And ya, a Crisis Core remaster would be fantastic! The game is so amazing it's sad to just leave it on the PSP where nobody else can ever experience it again.

They've shown this one time so far. The past few titles being KH3, FFXV, and FF7R they announced just as they would enter production. Id rather 50% than 0%.

One time mean can happen again, i'd rather 80% than only 50%
