Forums - Gaming Discussion - SE will announce 2018 AAAgame from Tabata (FFXV)

Please be excited.

If they are building it using the FFXV engine maybe it won't take so long.

More like "I can't wait to see the first concept art in 2021".

Not even the concept, more like just the title of their game with a release date that'll be 20yrs too early.

And then change the title to make it FFXVI.

Yay, an announcement of a game that just entered development, due to 4 years from now!

Yay....

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

No please. Stop giving projects to Tabata.

And then let somebody else run the entire project to a person that doesn't have the same vision or understand the original concept to only change it up with chopped up stories to be filled in later with like 25 DLC stories

Perhaps the Type-0 sequel?

They've literally just started it with a new team and they already want to announce it? Have SE already forgotten the FFVS13/15 fiasco?

They'll remember in 10 years.

If there's a merciful god out there, we can just hope this isn't the case.

its possible the game already started development and they just recently made a new formal team out of it.

First logical response in the entire thread. Tabata has been talking about his project since around the time Breath of the Wild was newish.  I just hope its a new IP because weve been having a Final Fantasy overload.

Threads like this are tiring. I find myself been less and less active on this site. We have been in this industry enough to know the announcement of a development is not the start a development.
