Forums - Gaming Discussion - Rampage Game

There is a game coming with the movie via Dave and Busters Arcade. Pretty fitting how Rampage started in the arcades. Wonder who developed now that Midway is no more.. It's surprising that they went oit of business while owning such valuable IPs

Warner, probably? They took most of their properties after Midway closed.

I loved the arcade original as kid, but outside of a single rental of World Tour, for the N64 I believe, didn't play any of the Rampage games in the 90's and 00's. I'm mildly interested in what a 2018 version would be like.

I won't be surprised if people hate it (it's a video game movie, so go figure), but maybe it'll do what The Angry Birds Movie did to it's franchise.

So, are you saying the Angry Birds movie is the reason, or part of the reason, the game franchise faltered after it's glory days?

I thought the game franchise had a resurgence after the movie.

Ha. Ok then. I l legit had no what happened with it. Just that it was extremely popular and pretty much everywhere for a while, then, not so much.

You do know that Midway became NetherRealm studios after the buyout by WB? WB also owns their IP's.

Rampage World Tour was awesome. Me and my middle brother used to rent it over and over again.

Does that mean WB owns Gauntlet and Paperboy?

Anything that Midway owned was up for purchase during the buyout. Wether WB decided take all or some is a mystery.
