Something I dug up on YouTube last night.

A 2 year old clip of DKC2 UE4 stage remake. Looks amazing, if only these type of games still exist today made with todays tech. (No not Tropical Freeze, they are great games, but nothing like the originals)

The Visuals, the music, the gameplay. Rare how we miss you.

I actually feel a lot of older gems were so great due to technical limitations. It caused devs to get a bit more creative.

It looks pretty cool! However, with someone who is not very versed in Donkey Kong Country, what is so different about Tropical Freeze compared to DKC1-3?

Its really hard to say this without playing them side by side because the gameplay is basically the same. I find the OG DKC games felt more serious and I guess you could say a little more darker. It was the mixture of the darker and serious nature of the games complied with some of the best music in the industry. The new games felt more colourful and lighter in the mood and less serious all around. More like a joy ride and tribute than an actual serious game.

A good example would be Zelda Ocarina of Time to Windwaker. 

That's just what I felt when playing them all.

Although, the author claims it's a game I think it's an animation. But he claims it's a game and won't put up a download...hm...

Well you basically just reasoned for me that's it's not a game. 

Although even if it is, it looks really boring and flat. I have no idea why people make stuff in UE4 if they aren't going to put in the effort to make it visually interesting.
