For Smash 4, they went with known personalities from the Smash community (ZeRo being one of them).

Glad to hear they'll have a competition at E3, at least! That's becoming one of my favorite parts of the event :)

I love how they are doing this in e3. It gives them a bigger presence on the event, even though they don't do a live stage.

Well played Nintendo. This is definitely a good way to get people hyped for their E3. Heck, now I can't wait. Perhaps the Inklings plus another new character or 2 will be playable at the event. This is gonna be good to see. Oh, and Spla2n will be lit as well.. xD
