Kirby Boom! Switch possibly not enough consoles still.

Switch!!!

As I had suspected, it seems the PS4 is still having shortages in Japan. I'm sure for quite awhile the bulk of their shipments have gone to NA/EU which left a much smaller inventory in Japan and after MHW they've likely blown through all the stockpile there. Guess we'll see if it's actually true or not in the upcoming weeks.

Do we have a list of like the top 25 best selling video games in Japan? Should do a weekly update to see where and when splat2 will surpass the next game

Bleh, terrible PS4 hardware. Kirby ended up around what I expected, but the Switch got less of a boost than I thought. Expected Nintendo to increase shipments for the launch.

ps4 sales in japan really caught sony by surprise. which is understandable, since its selling like 2x-3x what it usually does.

So it is not a fake supply problem like Switch when many people claimed last year?

It's only certain SKUs that are sold out (which is the same case for Switch in JP). There's one model that you can find, but the standard non-Pro model hasn't been easy to find as is evidenced by it's stark while Pro has stayed pretty stable.

Haha I know right, one of the most ludicrous claims of all time.

This is amazing when there is actually no new "Handheld" on the market. 2 Home consoles killing it in Japan (with one being able to play on the go)

But just imagine, this is happening without Pokemon, Animal Crossing and a new Monster Hunter on the Switch.

Then now imagine THOSE games releasing on the Switch..... Oh BOY!

Anything but amazing ...

Even having those franchises end up on the Switch, it'll still end up behind it's predecessor (3DS) in Japan and PS4 will finish just above it's predecessor when it had nearly everything going for it ...

Not good for the AAA gaming industry in Japan ...

According to what logic because as it goes Switch is looking like it'll beat out 3DS in Japan when it's all said and done,  3DS at this point in its life already had a price cut for a start.

Switch has sold ~3.9 million in Japan so far, in the same time frame 3DS had sold ~5.2 million.

Obviously that doesnt mean Switch cant outsell 3DS but i dont think your statement that it looks like Switch will beat 3DS is accurate either.

But Switch alredy surpassed its predecessor.. You know the WiiU. You this bwcausw when you type predecessor you had to add 3ds to it XD

Edit: ironically its not all about selling a number. Ps4 and NSW are already better than 3ds and ps3. The latter 2 systems lost a bunch of money while the former profited lol
