Congratulations, Nintendo.

Great machine coupled with 2 of the greatest games in recent memory with Breath of the Wild and Odyssey. Well deserved. Excited to see what's in the pipeline.

Unfair for who?

To me, a fair comparison only involves ensuring that we compare like with like in terms of time frames. If you start adding in other complications, especially things that we really can't objectively measure (like whether "launch demand" was fulfilled by x date), then we end up with a situation where no comparisons are valid.

Will be interesting to see if anything ever reaches a 50m install base in the US market. Probably feasible now with the US population set to be around 330m people as the Switch peaks. DS got to 60m in the Americas, but I don't think it hit 50m in just the US. Wii/X360/PS2 are got to the mid-40s.

In my opinion the N64 was not just the best console of the 5th gen but, to this day the best console ever created!

How can you say with certainty that it's not still supply constraint? Wasn't Kimishima interviewed just not to long ago and he stated things are better but they are still having issues meeting demand. I think its fair for most people to assume that these things are selling as fast as Nintendo can manufacture them...

Good thing you are..... well, just you. The comparison is fair, and it wont change just because it doesnt suit your agenda. We’ll see what happens this year, but still switch is the best selling home console during it’s first year in US

There is no supply issues in the US this 100% fact, only japan has a very minor problem at the moment.

Can you please stop trying to downplay any and all success the Switch may have?

Deal with it. Stop making excuses, stop moving the goalposts. Stop derailing, stop downplaying.

The Switch is a region free device so if Nintendo is still having troubles manufacturing enough to meet global demands then it still has supply issues. Them offsetting more shipments to say North America or Europe doesn't negate that its probably being short changed somewhere else because of this.

the only mod that has a problem with me and rols best friend, why am i not surprised, but fine. i won't post anything downplay switch sales, depending on how much switch does next npd. besides i had nothing to say jan npd because switch actually impressed me.
