That's an imposter over there. Obviously a fan.

But as for the tracker in October. I knew it would be wrong but I wasn't arsed making a big deal of it because I knew there would be lots of posters having a go at me. So I just quietly waited for the results to confirm an easy ps4 win.

After dominating September and the spiderman effect continuing into October I just knew with bo4 and especially rdr2 launching the switch had no chance to beat the ps4.

Not sure how long the ps4 will be doubted but it's going to be the fastest ever console to hit 100m. It's a steam train and it ain't slowing down m 2019 no different.

I mean it is past its peak, WW atleast

At 299 maybe but at 199 sold for an entire year ABSOLUTELY not.

So you think it would sell more than 20 million?  These $200 deals are seriously cutting into that possibility

Price point isn't really most important thing, big and system seller games are far more important, we already seeing this year how GoW and Spiderman moving hardware. Lower price point without. $199 for whole year definitely wouldn't be best PS4 year if they dont have some great exclusives in that year. Also worth mentioning that PS4 has already couple times has price point of $199.

I've no idea but it would definitely have a chance especially if they priced it at the equivalent in the EU and Asia which they don't. They also won't cut the price that low next year because they know it will do big numbers at $399 or $249. If it was $199 all next year they wouldn't be able to meet demand and would just be throwing away easy profits.

The $200 deals last year didn't stop it from selling really well all year long at $299 this year. It doesn't have a traditional peak where it hits a high point after 2 or 3 years and then declines. PS4 every year has been like a peak year and that won't change next year.

Yeah but heres the thing they will have epic games. So they can do both. I'm not saying one or the other. You'll have a full year of RDR2, Spiderman and GOW pushing PS4 next year. The line up not confirmed yet but possibilities are Days Gone, TLOU2, Death Stranding and Ghost of Tsutshima. At $199 Sony literally wouldn't meet demand hence why you will see it at $249 at the cheapest. They might start the year at $299 and in February or March cut it to $249.

We will see, but if TLOU2, Death Stranding and Ghost of Tsutshima are cross gen games that will wait for PS5 launch (and its very possible that will be case), no way that they suprise 2017. or 2018. Days Gone will be much weaker than GoW and Spiderman in any case. Also depends when PS5 will announced, if that really is next year, it will cut PS4 legs in some degree in any case.

Yeah but here's the catch. RDR2 and Spiderman will sell a boat load next year and continue pushing PS4 for another 12 months. And they don't need to hit 20m. Or match another year. Once they hit a certain height. PS4 sales are basically on a plateau.

Yes they will, but they cant have bigger effect on hardware sales than they will this year. PS4 will have very good next year also, but its expeted that will after 2017. and 2018. will start selling less, because Sony clearly start focusing on PS5 and next year we will probably have PS4 reveal.

Eh i don't think Sony are clearly focusing on PS5 next year. Completely disagree. I think PS5 is 2020. The market that will buy a PS4 at $199 is not the market that buys the PS5. And most PS5 games will be cross gen including GTA Vi most likely. As always people will underestimate the PS4 sales in 2019 and 2020. Not too bothered arguing why anymore I'll just sit back and enjoy the results.

My thoughts for this time of year are this. B&M sales shoot up EXPONENTIALLY so it throws the tool off that doesn't take this into account. And that is okay.....the tool is amazing and takes a LOT of work and I truly appreciate the time and effort that goes into this! Very good and accurate tool for the other months but around the Holidays when the B&M sales go up it throws everything into disarray. I don't even think anything even needs to be tweaked really. I think it is fine as is.
