I’m torn between Souls and FF (although I’d not classify the souls series as jrpgs just because it’s made in japan, but whatever). In the end I went with FInal Fantasy because I respect the hell out of how much effort they put into making each installment in that series something unique, while the souls series seems to have lost a bit of its drive to try new ideas, it has become too iterative for my taste.

I make game analyses on youtube:

Dark Souls.

Edit: Oh shit, that's actually in the list. Uhh well not Dark Souls then. I guess I picked other so I'll just say Etrian Odyssey.

I knew you were one of... those people.

What do you mean?

My favorite JRPG series is Kingdom Hearts. All hail the GOAT, Tetsuya Nomura, for creating the story of this legendary series and for creating best girl, Aqua.

Kingdom Hearts

Lufia series, voted "Other"

Usually I'd say FF but they ruined it with FFXV. So I'm gonna say DQ because they have always been consistently great.

They might get their crown back with the next iteration.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Xenoblade so I voted for other.

Pokemon just wipes the floor with Square. There was a time I wouldn't have said that. Before FFX-2, they were almost untouchable but since then, meh. And with each game it just keeps getting worse and worse and worse to the point where I don't even care anymore. In a way, Final Fantasy is the Sonic of RPGs. At least when we're talking about 3-d games anyway since Mania was great (or so I've heard). It's like, I see news of a new Final Fantasy and just roll my eyes.

I do the opposite for a new Pokemon.

Pokémon. This franchise will never not be fun.

I'd go with Final Fantasy myself.
