They didn't develop most of those games, so why should they even get credit?

I've always liked them. They've developed and published a lot of my favourite games ever, and like you said they generally don't try to take advantage of their customers. They do deserve a lot of credit in that sense.

The thread defends Namco's merit as a publisher. It's not talking about the original properties that Namco develops. Rather, its talking about the games Namco helps make available to a wider audience as a publisher. What you are right about, is there overall scale of involvement with the Witcher's development. They did not have much of a part to play when it came to creating the game.

What an odd list. They likely had nothing to do with that decision regarding several of those games.
