I played the first on PS2 and from the looks of it, the franchise has changed dramatically. In the PS2 version it was in english.

Only the first Yakuza was in english, I am assuming due to the poor sales of the original in the west, they decided it would be cheaper to keep the original Japanese dub and just translate the game and went forward from there. 



"I think it will be the HDS"-Me in regards to Nintendo's next handheld.

Yes!!!!! I'm so excited for this!!! Loved every game of this series. Now I hope they remaster Yakuza 3-5 just to have the entire collection on PS4.

They have said they plan to do this..... its only a matter of if they actually pull though with it.
Yeah I think haveing a entire series on 1 platform is cool too.

Its also great for collectors, it ll make the PS4 a worthy collectors item years and years from now.

Yeah, it was likely cause this was greenlit due to the sucess of zero in the west.

I kinda want to play it before 6 though... i'm afraid i will feel closure after 6 and then going back is a bit ankward.

Maybe i'll just wait and get this one first.

The best news for me this year. Yakuza 2 was/is epic, its legendary for my friends and me - the story and characters are so emotional, exciting and versatile <3 love it so much!!!

PS: Now is the best time for all newcomers. Begin the legendary Yakuza Games with Yakuza Zero or Yakuza Kiwami.

After looking it up, this is the fourth yakuza game in 20 months. A new yakuza every 5 months. This series is milked more than fifa 😛

I know I am late. Yakuza become a yearly game for Sega or Yakuza team in JPN. Basically West is catching up with the series that’s why you see 2 games in a year for Yakuza. With Yakuza kiwami 2 west already catch up with the series. With the Exception with Isshin. Hopefully Sega will have the tme to localize the game.

As for th game, it’s a great game with a lot of side quest, mini games and the story is good with funny antics you won’t see with your typical sandbox games. If you got tired with the main quest try the funny side quest. If you don’t feel the quest go for the mini games. There’s so much to do in this game you won’t get tired of it. IMHO.
