You're not a Sonic Fan so you probably missed them, but they are older than knuckles (and probably Tails).

They have been noticeably forgotten and will be re-introduced to the plebs now. Be happy... it could be Cream or Big. Be careful what you wish for. :P

Yes Ice Cap is such an amazing level! A crime they failed to include it in both Mania and Generations it is. Also what's so bad about Cream? Not that it would be her, I'd expect fan favorites like Shadow and Blaze.

Cream and big are characters i consider to be "fluff". They are there only to be cute. They aren't very interesting or have any interesting stories or plot interactions. I honestly think the games would be better if they didn't show up again.

On the main topic, i'm surprised so many of you waited for a physical edition. You missed out. I'm glad it was still sucessful enough to bring this version and possibly sequals.

Nice to see a physical release. Everything else about this seems like it's going to be a really cool, but is it really necessary to bring back a punch of pointless and annoying side characters. As if the series isn't already straining under the weight of its awful side characters being brought back for no good reason every few releases.

Because they were Sonic's first friends and have been forgotten for a long time. I find them to be pretty cool characters too. Mighty for example can wall jump. Ray has never been done in 2D style, so i wonder what his special move will be. Probably gliding like knuckles.

Like, these are old but new friends for many people who will now be introduced to them. The game keeps a new but classic vibe without being tainted by any modern Sonic stuff.

They are making these animations on youtube. Will be 5 episodes. I believe they will retell the SegaSonic the hedgehog arcade story of how he met them. They are confirmed to be in it, so it will introduce them at any rate.

now I gotta decide if I want it on PS4 or Switch. I got a custom case for Switch as a stand in, so it would clash if I got it on Switch,but if I got it on PS4, I'd feel dirty as I only buy Sonic related stuff on Nintendo consoles. Rahhhh
