It is bad for games that don’t stand out or are excellent and are overpriced. Like Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap is AU$29.95 on the AU PS Store. And then you get Bloodborne and R&C which are currently free. You can buy NiOh, Uncharted 4 and Uncharted: LL for AU$30.95. Horizon Zero Dawn for $24.95. And so many other games at cheaper prices. So which would you pick?

So you agree that Playstation is a bad ecosystem for most developers because it devalues games.

Then again if those games you mentioned are so great then why are they so cheap?

Makes you think huh.

I said it’s a bad ecosystem for games that don’t stand out or aren’t great. No one would pick this game over the hundreds of other better and cheaper games.

And the great games I mentioned are cheap because there are constantly new and great games coming out. That’s what happens on great platforms. There’s only so many games one person can buy.

Also, how long before the Switch becomes overcrowded with indie games?

Despite that it will sell more on PS4

You'll be disappointed by the results.

A lot of indie games have much higher scores than those games you love to brag about.

Celeste: 93% on Metacritic

Steamworld Dig 2: 88%

Undertale: 92%

Inside: 91%

Rocket League: 86%

Shovel Knight: 91%

Those games of yours are cheap  because people don't want to buy them for full price.

And Switch has more high scoring games on Metacritic in its first year that that "great" platform you call PS4 in its first year.

So there goes that theory of yours.

Much wow, so switch, very indie.

Indie games do tend to get bigger scores. Ever wondered why then we never see them get game of the year awards? Because their scores aren’t comparable to bigger games’ scores. How many people would think that Celeste is better than Bloodborne, for example?

And Switch had more high scoring games - what’s your cutoff there? And I am assuming that you’re counting all the ports and the WiiU games that were pushed back for the Switch?

But how is the person you are replying to supposed to know you are replying to them?

From the context of the post itself? It ain't rocket science.

What if they don't check their old threads since their Chartz Buddy is supposed to do that for them?

I find it funny how there is always an excuse why a game does well on Switch.

Because gaming outlets are sponsored by big publishers. There's not much money to be made from declaring an indie "game of the year".

Just look at the Oscars for animation, studio ghibli movies barely stand a chance despite their critical acclaim. It's almost always won by some Disney or Pixar flick.

And I think Celeste is better than Bloodborne, and I'm sure there are more people who think alike.

And now I've heard it all lol, ports and "the Wii U games that were pushed back for the Switch" don't count?

We can scrap a lot of PS4 games then.

Always an excuse? It’s a reason, not an excuse and it’s the same reason every time when it comes to smaller games.

I think what he is trying to drive at is that it will not notify the other poster they have been quoted in their VGChartz Buddy if you just reply below rather than quoting and snipping the quote.  That is my interpretation at any rate. I know I don't re-cover ground in threads personally just to see if someone replied rather than quoted.
