Was to be expected. I really hope Naughty Dog never do those Uncharted and TLOU movies.

As for Box Office, Tomb Raider (2018) opened in 9 Asian markets last weekend, where it made $14m. Tomorrow it will open in the US/Canada, where it is projected to make $23-29m opening weekend, as well as various other markets.

Doom better than the original Tomb Raider or Warcraft? Though I have to admit the Doom movie is a guilty pleasure of mine (got it on DVD)

If the animated Resident Evil movies where part of the list, I think they would top it. They're miles above the live-action movies.

Pretty much as expected. Everything I've seen of the film made it seem like a painfully generic action movie that doesn't take advantage of anything the Tomb Raider name would offer it.

Seems like it is only near the top because all others have very bad scores although I remember liking some of them. Still, I prefer TR as a game than the movies Angelina done.

Well just came back from seeing this movie and me and my girlfriend thoroughly enjoyed it. Alicia Vikander plays a really good Lara Croft, much better than jolie ever did. The action scenes were brilliant and tense at times. I think they done an good job with this and I look forward to the next one. I’d give it 85/100

I think the problem most video game movies suffer is that they stray too far from the original source. It almost seems, and I wouldn't be surprised if this was the case, that studios already have a bunch of scripts sitting around, so when they gain the film rights to a game, they just do a quick rewrite, changing mostly the characters name and a little of the plot, slap the game's name on it and shit it out. Strangely this hardly works, yet it doesn't stop them from attempting it over and over.

I think that's why MK has a higher regard for it. Sure it gets a few points knocked off for not being more brutal, not having Sub-zero and Scorpion true enemies, and dated CG, but overall it sticks pretty close to the source materials story, as well as having great casting and fights.

Personally, I have no interest in the new TR. It seems very generic and has a bunch of poor greenscreening. I don't know what that supposed $100M went to, but it definitely wasn't for good greenscreen effects.

I feel the original Resident Evil should be way higher. Wow at Mortal Kombat. Loved it as a child. Don't really want to see it again. I skipped school to see the 2nd one. Wish i would've went to school instead

I couldn't even get through the original Tomb Raider movies, never watched them properly. I start them but within 30 minutes I can't watch anymore. See no reason why a good Tomb Raider movie couldn't be made though. I've got no interest in this latest Tomb Raider movie because of experience of the earlier two. Another vote for the original Resident Evil movie which I thought was really good. I enjoyed Halo forward unto dawn but that was more like mini-episodes joined together to make a movie but I liked it.

Half Life would be my choice to get the big screen treatment.

Silent Hill and Resident Evil, are my most favorite game movies.
