I wonder if the conversations Sega had with M$ when they paid a visit to their offices, did include porting some of their franchises like Hokuto and Yakuza to the Xbox.

Well VC4 and that Shining RPG are coming to Xbox One.

So I wouldn't be shock if those games came up in the conversations to bring to Xbox One.

Yeah, I know, right? It certainly wouldn't hurt.

Hokuto game is more likely but for Yakuza. As far as I know the new Dragon Engine is a dedicated PS4 engine by the Yakuza team so I would be surprise if it came out for XBox.

PC is still up on the air but Sony is treating Yakuza 6 as an exclusive.  Kiwami 2 is using the same engine as well.

Damn, looks like North Star has bombed ):

The Ryu Ga Gotoku team has truly been facing a decline sales wise

Kiwami 2 opened up a bit better and Yakuza 6 had a roughly 100K more copies.

I hope the western releases fair much better sales wise.

It bombed? It certainly a whole lot better than preorder number would have led you to believe. It's not great sales, but I think bomb is a bit strong.

I think it's illogical to expect an overall average of 32k PS4s sold weekly for the rest of the year but that's what makes following this data so much fun.

And yes, I fully expect there will be a lot of people who will receive a PS4 to play Monster Hunter World during the holiday period. It's not a game that will only have a sales impact during its launch and taper off into nothingness after a month.

Agreed, PS4 still has yet to receive VC4, AC7, Shenmue III, KH III, Code Vein, One Piece: World Seeker and maybe even FF VIIR will appear at the end of the year too so there's many opportunities for PS4 to grow in Japan this year and that proposition becomes stronger if there's a price cut too ...

Yep, I'm fully anticipating a price cut to $249 (and whatever the yen equivalent is for that) for the slim around E3ish, maybe a bit later in the Fall. That will definitely help pick up some more sales in Japan.

A price cut for sure is there most powerful option but the games you mentioned wont boost hardware at all aside from KH (which wouldn't be a huge notable bunp like dq/mhw) and i doubt ff7r is coming out. You have a better chance of having a bet itll be on ps5 then a 2018 release

Not FFVII Remake, at least not this year. They're hiring people for level planning right now. That one is going to take a while.

Apparently Sega is expecting it to sale 400K copies.

Then lets hope it does another 277k in the next month or two, following its 123k launch in japan.
The gameplay looks really cool from what Ive seen, I thought it would sell better.

TBF that 400K  is not FW and the games was also release in ASIA with Chinese subs.
So Sega must be referring to Japan and other parts of Asia.
