Im fine with the series remaining as Mario Kart but i would like to see more Nintendo properties join in. so far weve seen characters from Animal Crossing, Splatoon, and Zelda. so i would love to also see characters like Kirby and Samus show up with tracks based on those games. overall i do think it should stay as Mario Kart though, with the vast majority of the characters being Mario characters

I agree that it should still be called Mario Kart but start incorporating other franchises into the mix, even MK8 started this a little bit. Especially if they plan on releasing Mario Kart 9 on the Switch. There will need to be some sort of major difference if they plan on having two Mario Karts on the same system. I certainly won't be buying a second Mario Kart for the Switch unless they do something to change up the formula.

Agreed. Mario kart needs a bit of innovation. I would like to see all iconic characters from Nintendo franchise and less mario bs and each characters have a special ability they can perform after idk filling a gauge or something by like drifting and getting coins or hitting someone.

Or tracks for each franchise. That would be godlike too
