Out of those, it would be between Square and Sega because both of them have the best lineups when you consider their entire releases. But for the most part, Square only have one genre worth of great games and Sega has many so I'll go with Sega. Even if you discount everything they did after the Dreamcast, there's still more amazing titles in their history than anyone else on that list.

...in your opinion.

If you can name your pick from that list and their games, and they can go toe to toe against everything Sega has ever developed or published starting from their arcade and Genesis day, I'll concede. Some how, I find that impossible.

I think i've bought more Ubisoft games over the last 10 years than any other 3rd party

Kingdom Hearts, Deus Ex, and The World Ends With You. Square Enix wins

Activision - Counting Blizzard, I like Overwatch and that's it.

EA - Used to care about Need for Speed and Mass Effect. Stopped caring after all their NFS became open worlds, and Andromeda was... Andromeda.

Ubisoft - Honorable Mention #1 with Assassin's Creed Origins being good and the wonderful 2D Raymans.

Bandai Namco - The last game they published that I cared about was Pac-Man Championship Edition DX (CE 2 disappointed the hell out of me with it's luck based bs). They DID make Smash WiiU/3DS, but this is about them as a publisher, not developer.

Bethesda - Honorable Mention #2 with Skyrim, both Dishonoreds and DOOM.

Sega - The only series they give a shit about that I care for is Sonic. I wish I could respect the Sonic franchise. Mania gave me hope that Forces proceeded to mercilessly destroy. I do want to get into Persona and SMT though. The only Atlus games I've played are Citizens of Earth (not great) and Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE (fantastic).

Sega, because they made Sonic.

Edit: Fuck Sega. They don't want to put their Genesis collection on the Switch. I'm changing my vote to Yacht Club Games.

I rarely see a Sega logo when booting up a game I own.  I think the last time was Alien Isolation?  Not a bad game, but not the best either.  I can’t accurately make comparisons as I don’t patronize them that often.  But I just noticed your avatar which might indicate your opinions.  Is it fact?  No.

I guess you didn't didn't understand my post then. I was referring the overall work, not recent output only. And when I did that, only Sega stands out to me because they have made some of the most legendary games in history for almost ever genre. You name a genre and they've probably developed or published a great game for it. I don't think anyone else on that list can claim that.

If we were only going on modern games, then sure. I'd rethink my choice but I play retro 95% of time anyway so, that is of little consequence.

Hmmm, I don't know, it all depends on so many factors. Capcom is out of the question due to their many questionable decissions, even if many of their games are absolute classics. Take2 and Square Enix, while having many great games, they haven't done anything really that impressive in recent years, in my opinion. EA and Activision just don't catter to my interests for the most part.

I'm on the fence between Ubisoft, Bethesda and Sega.
Also, why not Revolver Digital or NIS America?

You know it deserves the GOTY.

‘Legacy’?  Sega’s had many a stinker over the years.  Their Sonic history (what they’re best known for) has been very up and down, you realize.  Heck, they haven’t even had a major hit in what - over 20 years now?  Namco, EA, and Activision alone have richer gaming histories if you think about it.  But as you say, they stand out ‘to you’, but to the average gamer?  No way.  They’re on life support at this point - and have been for a while.

I'd have to vote for the one I dislike the least, so I'm not going to vote.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

Ubisoft probably, I enjoy their games usually

Watch Dogs, Rayman, Far Cry, Trackmania, Assassin's Creed. Most of the time it's good.
