That really needs to stop. Only Lucina is a clone and having her own space was a bonus. Look at alph from Pikmin for reference

Edit; an idea for thought, why not 2 links and 2 zeldas?

Zelda BotW can use all her 4 specials that the champions give link as powers. Sort of how zelda has the 3 attacks from OoT (dins fire/naryu love/etc)

1) Spring-Man (costume swap for Ribbon Girl? I haven't played Arms so no idea how similar/different their movesets would need to be)
2) Twintelle
3) Captain Toad
4) Waluigi
5) Rex - with Pyra/Mythra in the background (like Pokemon Trainer - this would figure into his moveset)
6) A Champion (BotW)
7) King Hippo
8) New Fire Emblem Character (probably the avatar for Fire Emblem Switch but I'd prefer Celica - also there will be numerous new FE characters in all probability)
9) Takamaru or Ayumi Tachibana (retro character)
10) Ridley (yeah I know size, but Bowser, amirite?)

I'd also like to see Ice Climbers return and K Rool be added for a bit more DK representation.

I'd like all previously featured third-party characters to return and be joined by:
Shovel Knight
Shantae
Bomberman
Travis Touchdown
Terra Branford
Crash Bandicoot
Dovakhiin
Doom Marine
Solaire

I agree. Samurai have to stop doing fe clones.
