What will be the best Selling Game This Year?

FIFA 18 2 2.35%

Battlefeild 5 1 1.18%

Black Ops III 32 37.65%

Smash Bros For Switch 14 16.47%

Nintend Labo 1 1.18%

Red Dead Redemption 2 29 34.12%

Other 6 7.06%

Total:85

Smash easily.

The game is trending upward every release. The last one was on the Wii U.

Sales should at least triple the Wii U version.

Smash will easily become the best selling switch game.

COD. Unless people wakes up to annualize horrendus sequels filed with endless cash desire from our best evil corporation such as Activision and EA.

This is boring.

Should have been a battle between exclusive titles only, but then it would just be Super Smash Bros, which is also too obvious.

Boy .....

Isn’t Smash going to be a port?

all signs are pointing towards it being a new game.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

Black Ops iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

2016, beaten by Pokemon, Fifa and Uncharted.

2014, Pokemon again

2013, GTAV and Pokemon

2006-2010: Anything the Wii and DS churned out

So it's actually not that often that CoD was leading unless you add up all versions. And Fifa is doing worse than I remembered.

But considering Pokemon consistently beat CoD, if Pokemon would be to come out this year for the Switch, it should take the first spot. Otherwise, CoD, Fifa and Smash will likely duke it out on top

where are you getting all this data from? Cod has been the best selling game 2009-2012, and  2014-present. Almost every year.

I don’t know about the other year but in 2016 Pokémon Sun and Moon were the best selling game of that year.

For some reason, most publications (npd etc) split the Pokémon versions like they are two separate games lowering its yearly ranking.

If you count each version seperately, Smash might have a chance to beat CoD, FIFA and RDR2. But if you combine all versions of these games, Smash doesn't stand a chance.

The last smash sold 14 - 15 million copies.

You think this one, a hyped up game on a hugely popular console will sell less than that?

Every single major release on switch is setting records on their respective franchise.

Unlike any other big Nintendo game, Smash 4 released on both the Wii U and 3DS, so I doubt Smash 5 will sell a lot more than that on the Switch. Even if it does sell better than Smash 4, it still won't sell enough to beat Black Ops 4 (which will probably sell 20-25 million, 30 million including digital).

Why is FIFA doing worst if FIFA 17 sold more than FIFA 16 and FIFA 18 is selling more than FIFA 17?

and there are not new consoles coming this year so FIFA 19 should easily beat FIFA 18.

my bet are on FIFA 19, COD BO 4 and RDR.

I think you're counting COD on a single platform my dude.  COD is releasing at the end of the year almost sometimes. on year by year bases COD sells the most.

This is a tough one. Call of Duty isn't as strong as it used to be, though Black Ops carries more weight than the last few. Red Dead Redemption ended up selling like 30 million overall, so a ton of people will want it out of the gate. I'll go with RDR2, but I could easily be wrong.
