With FBO numbers in, BP has passed TLJ by $1.3M to become #9 on the list of all time WW takes.

Where will it end? Currently it is ~12.2% above Avengers. If this continues, it will end its DBO run with $699.41M. If the FBO percentage stays at 48.4%, its final WW take will be $1.355B. Personally, I think it may just leg it out to a DBO take of $700M+.

It will makes 700M+ at the domestic box office and will surpass Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2 as the 8th highest grossing movie of all time.

Proud to be a Californian.

Actuals are in. BP made $3.25M, bringing its DBO to $693.24M. So far, BP has outperformed Avengers by 12%. If this continues, it will end its DBO run with $698.16M. If the FBO percentage holds, it will finish its WW with $1.348B.

Black Panther hits digital this week and Blu Ray next week IIRC. That's probably going to cut the remainder of it's legs out from under it. If they pushed back the digital and blu-ray releases, I think it could have hit 700 million domestic.

It still might. It's only ~$6.8M away. And if you look at Jumanji, it still performed after it was released on home video. It released on DVD/Blu-ray on March 20th and did ~$4M on that day and beyond. If you go by when it released for digital download, March 6th, it made ~$11M.

God, this movie is so freaking close to $700M. Just $870K away. If Disney just leaves it in theaters for another 2-3 weeks, it should make it.

Do you think they'll actually do it? If they're that close I reckon they might do just so they can brag about breaking $700m DBO lol

I'm not really seeing why they wouldn't.  It's on Day 108.  TLJ was doing worse numbers at this point (this past weekend was #16, with BP doing $247K vs TLJ's 67K), but they left that in theaters til Day 126.  If they pull it out before Day 126, something isn't right.  It also looks like it's still bringing in better numbers than Avengers.  Weekend #16 for Avengers brought in $149K.  Again, absolutely no reason to pull it early.

So, I'm going to say it should definitely pass $700M.

Jesus lol that's quite a difference!

How many days did Avengers last on its run? Didn't realise Black Panther was still pulling such high numbers to be honest...

They only have up to Day 133 tracked for individual days, but it must have lasted until ~ Day 150 given that it lasted til Week 22.  It looks like Avengers got a big jump in theater count on Day 120, though.  I doubt that's happening for BP, but I still don't see why it wouldn't last til at least Day 130.

Well, I figured I'd give a last update on the film. The film is only ~$45K from hitting $700M at the DBO. However, given that it only pulled in $2.5K this past weekend, it looks like its chances of hitting it are pretty much nil. Disney did give it a final push last weekend, getting it put on an extra 126 screens, but those have all been pulled this past week, leaving it on just 15 screens.

The film ends with ~$699.96M at the DBO and ~$646.67M at the FBO, for a WW of ~$1.347B.

Less then $15K to go for $700 million domestically. It looks like it will make it there after all, its theater count got bumped up to 25 screens and it made $16,000 yesterday.

Lol, well that push came out of nowhere. $700M it is.
