Where the heck did you got the 400M profit on H5?

A little research will one day help you Don.

Do sales matter? no, profit does.

Nice, but the $400m figure is sales revenue, not profit. A little research indeed.

But your entire point is mute because whether you're looking at it from a sales or profit perspective PlayStation is absolutely killing it.

$1.1 Billion Operating Profit for last fiscal year, and a forecast of $1.6 Billion for this fiscal year. You can try and downplay sales all you want but your tactic of shifting to profits will do absolutely nothing when PlayStation's profits are soaring.

That was my point, sales revenue, profit what ever we want to call it. Its all a good thing especially $400m.

So the entire PS brand profited $1.1b and Halo 5 alone did $400m revenue? That was probably a poor example.

Point is a game can sell 2m units and earn less to a game that sold 1m. That's my point.

No shifty tactics needed. So the entire PS brand profited $1.1b and Halo 5 alone did $400m revenue? That was probably a poor example.

The $400m figure includes revenue from bundled hardware, so with your claim that uncharted 4 and Horizon only sold because of bundles... Well there revenue will be far in excess of that figure then, so by your chosen metric of success they both outperformed halo 5, not the outcome you're hoping for so better find something else to switch to.

You seem to have a severe lack of understanding of your trying to suggest the $400m halo revenue paints the $1.1b PlayStation operating profit in a bad light.

Your point that a game can make more profit and sell less is valid, your insistence that uncharted 4 and Horizon didn't  profit well, or as well as another title is laughable and not backed up by anything.

Another CLASSIC post! Well done.

The $400m figure isn't profit... it was launch revenue, including the sales of bundled hardware.

You just hurt my fun.

I am still waiting for your Sony game that eclipses that $400m? There should be heaps since UC4 and Horizon double Halo 5 sales..

As I stated in my past few posts $400m from halo includes hardware bundles, so according to you the vast majority of uc4 sales come from bundles, which would put it's revenue at at least $3 billion. WOW!!!

Alright let me spell this out for you cause you're apparently not getting it.

The $400m revenue figure you're spouting for halo, includes hardware sales - "the "biggest Halo launch" of all time. The figure includes sales of games and hardware"

Apparently you believe Uncharted 4 sold the majority of it's copies as a bundle. Let's pretend everything you say is true. - "Where i am from UC4 was bundled in majority of PS4s, you could not buy a PS4 without UC4 at xmas time unless you brought a Pro. Funny how its sales went from 4m to 8m so fast."

So if half of UC4 sales are bundles... 5m * $300 = $1.5b

Let's pretend the other half sold for $2 in a bargin bin because it only sold well because people were forced to get it in a bundle.... 5m * $2 = 0.01b

That would put Uncharted 4 revenue at $1.51 Billion, measured by the same metric as the $400m Halo 5  figure you're using.

You still haven't linked me proof of what you are saying. I linked you a Halo 5 article showcasing the revenue sales.

In case you forgot.

How much revenue did UC4/Horizon make? They double Halo 5 sales so it should be easy to find right?

I am waiting.

It doesn't need an article, it's mathematical logic using your own definition of reality as the basis. If you can't be bothered to read the post or are incapable of understanding it we have nothing else to discuss.

You're welcome to try and explain with mathematics how a game that sold ~10m copies could make less than $400m in revenue, including hardware sales.

I've never seen a bigger case of this:
