It does consist of doing the same quests over and over like COD consists of shooting people over and over.

Really?. 4 days later and you're still going to keep it going?.

Except CoD has only one scope of gameplay in mind, and SoT does not. End of story. Your comparison is flawed.

Yeah that's because I came back after 4 days.

SOT has repetitive quests and an open world with nothing more than repetitive quests. COD has maps with repetitive quests in multiplayer but has a rather varied campaign. You were right, COD has more variety in the entire game than SOT!

And you've had time within those 4 days to respond. I am not one who likes to waste time with someone after a week of absence. Especially when it comes to a flawed comparison talk.

Your comparison is flawed entirely, because you're trying to forcefully merge two totally difference games, gameplay styles, plot, mechanics and everything else together, while also trying to say they are 100% exactly the same.

They are not the same though, but you'll argue different each and every time, because you never want to admit that your screwed on your original idea of comparing the two different games.

God of war on PS4 will probably be the best selling game of the franchise.

But if we count gamepass players as true sold copies (apparently it's a thing nowadays) then SoT could sell more.

Yes I'll respond when I come here and I wouldn't come here just to continue this argument? I don't have time to come here everyday.

I didn't say their gameplay style is the same but the gameplay loop is the same. If you don't know what that means, I can't help you with it. Look it up.

GoW, obviously. Established IP being changed into something closer to a RPG. Also, it's likely setting up a new protagonist. It's a much needed reboot.

It would be a shame if Shallow aesthetics: the game beats GoW (which looks like a complete experience...for now) in sales.

You clearly have the time to keep coming back and repeating the same cycle.

"loop" isn't even a thing. You have games that take up on the same game design or mechanics and storytelling themes, but not a "loop", a loop is a circle ongoing, which is what a lot of games have to keep you playing their games.

I'll notwe this now before you spend a week or two doing absolutely nothing. This conversation has become a pointless one, because you sued a poor example of trying to compare two totally different games, and then you not admitting you made a mistake.

So what are your thoughts on games like League of Legends, Minecraft, DOTA2, PubG and Fortnite MP? I mean there bare bones games with only one objective and 1 Map. All those games are increibly popular

Comparing SoTs to CoD is like me comparing Minecraft to God of War 4.. and i can safely say GoW4 has no chance in that comparisons.. but is that a fair comparion?

You said that God of War's set of moves were akin to a fighting game, and by saying that you were unintentionally putting it in the league of the deepest combat systems in the market.

I didn't SOT is exactly like COD but they have a lot in common especially the way they spread out play time by making you do the same thing over and over. I could also compare it to PUBG, Fortnite and the likes that are all multiplayer games where the goals are similar and the massive playtime is because of playing with friends, and the main fun is playing with friends but then anything is fun with friends. Even a mediocre game can be fun when playing with the right people.

They do not have a lot in common. Both games are drastically different. One is an open world pirate themed game, the other is a closed combat modern FPS shooting game, which revolves around only shooting other players, SoT doesn't revolve around just shooting other players before you start on that angle.

So his comparison is invalid but yours is ok... please list the similarities between fighting games and GoW, that you seem to have already finished even before release.

I sense a defensive attitude.

If I get an exact or jumbled repeat of what I just quoted, I won't be wasting any more time.
