Forums - Movies & TV - Do you think Black Panther is better than Thor 3?

I really liked both movies, but I have to say I liked Thor 3 a little better.

By a country mile.
Thor 3 was alright, but Black Panther makes my top 5 MCU movies, it was just absolutely fantastic.

Thor was one of the better marvel movies, I liked it alot.. Black panther was mediocre for me.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

No, no i dot not.  Not even close.

Ragnarok is one of my favourite MCU movies. Black Panther was good, but not one of the best MCU movies to me

Thor was dumb fun. I liked it but Black Panther was the better movie for me. It had serious tone that is rarely seen in Marvel films. Several serious events occur in Thor but they often get overshadowed by the humor. There some humorous moments in Black Panther but they felt natural. Thor's jokes, while funny, often come off as one liners. I like both but prefer BP.

Thor 3 was alot better in my opinion, not really close actually. Thor 3 was fun and epic - not very smart, but exciting. Black Panther was, at best, a 6/10 for me - Black Panther is a considerably more boring character in his own film, than he was in civil war. There wasn't really any good action sequences (except for the car chase) and the visual effects were very bad by marvel stanards (Those damn rinos) - No really good characters, but a somewhat passable villain. There were some good art direction going on and some interesting ideas, but yeah.
BP was better than Thor 1 and 2 in my opinion, but nowhere near 3.

100% agree. Well, I probably enjoyed Thor 1 more. I've said it before, but BP felt like an early Marvel movie, where they hadn't struck the right balance with story, humor, and action, yet. Definitely not bad, but not as good as the 2nd or 3rd generation of Marvel releases. But, BP has basically become an event movie, at least here in the States, so most people are more forgiving of its flaws. I don't see this one aging well. Especially the effects. What was up with them? They looked straight out of Raimi's Spider-Man flicks, which were OK since it was 2002.

No idea. I've been avoiding Black Panther because of how politically charged it is with identity politics.

Yeah, it's straight up laughable to have bad visual effects in such a high budget movie...
Did you guys watch the new blade runner? The visual effects are so freakin' incredible! The immersion is on point and the world, as a result, feels so real.
That was made on the same budget.
