He won cause the election system is not democratic. He didn't get the most votes. I'm not american thankfully, but i don't understand the nerve of saying the US is the biggest democracy in the world when in fact it isn't one. It's cringy.
But, of course, he won by lying and deceiving people, preying on ignorance, wich his party keeps trying to foster by ruining the educational system.
That wikileaks and investigation things did quite a number to stain Hillary's reputation aswell, wich lasts until this day, even though investigations proved she did nothing worthy of that reputation.

Older people likely have accumulated more wealth thus in favor of tax cuts (which allows goes more towards upper brackets giving middle and low income tax payers chump change). Republican party has been able to court christians (which there are more of in old population) somehow even though they have just as many or more sex scandals than other parties. Mainly able to hold onto them by being anti abortion. Last republican to give a damn about the environment was probably Theodore Roosevelt. Somehow hating on environmentalist became a cool thing to do for Republicans even though we all live on this fucking earth. Sure you can go too extreme for environmentalism but it shouldn't be business or environment. Both sides need to come together and try to utilize the land which works for both environment and business. Apparently republicans can't stop believing in fantasy either. Enjoy your stay in "heaven" when you die. |
1 - Older people accumulate wealth together with wise and experience. The young people buying 10 USD coffe won't. But they certainly will blame the elder and republicans for it.
2 - Republicans court better the christians because they don't publically berate then all the time as the democrats.
3 - That is because environmentalist are self-serving high horses in the majority. As most movement people that see themselves as better than the ones not in the movement and that keep attacking everyone else as evil.
4 - Everyone probably believes in some sort of ideal society and others even think it is possible. I'm atheist so I have zero issue with you desiring me heaven or hell, but we can see your intentions of bad outcome for someone that disagree with you.

There are several forms of democracy, but certainly USA doesn't call itself a democracy even when saying they are the biggest one. They are a federation based on constitutional republic.
And it's funny you complaining about democracy in USA coming from the country of Dictator Franco.

You don't say. Though you have to add "Most votes don't win in the USA, because it's not a democracy".
Also, he didn't have the majority of votes, he had the majority of the electoral college. Wich means all votes aren't the same, wich means it's a phony democracy. Good, glad we could come back to my original point.

Most votes do not win anywhere . All votes are the same. Everyone was counted. He got the majority of votes that counted. In fact, more electorates defected from Hilary than him. She was an awful unelectable candidate from the start(and that was 2008.not 2016)
Also, majority of voters did vote republican.
2020 will be interesting. Expect the rust belt states to be very tight. This region will determine who wins the election once more.
Republicans and Trump should not get complacent. Historically red states like Arizona and Georgia were actually very close to flipping blue last election. The Republicans could get shell shocked next election just like the Democrats were for 2016 if these states fully flip.

Arizona Really? Lol. That was 54% Republican. Georgia as well
