I'd rather have a new Monster Hunter game that's more like MH4. World doesn't really look like it would be my cup of tea, and it also wouldn't fit on a Nintendo system.

Oh, I'll convert you. I will.

I doubt it. I'm a strong independent man who doesn't get converted by people like you!

Possibly...though it's probably more likely to get Portable or something version. Maybe make a new sub-series.

No. I would've expected a port if MHW was a flop, but it has sold gangbusters. They are probably satisfied with those sales for now. They may port XX to the Switch (with Nintendo paying for the publishing costs), but they won't try to downgrade MHW until those sales start to drop.

They already ported XX on the Switch

Dammit, I meant localize. XD

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Come join The 2018 Obscure Game Monthly Review Thread.

Anything can be ported to nearly anything.

Its left to be seen if whats left after said port is the same game though.

Interesting. There's even an outside company interested in taking the job. I'd actually like to see them try. And having MHW on the Switch would be pretty cool. Probably..

Capcom never said it couldn't be done, they said it wpuld be difficult. Thats two very different things.

That's about as helpful as saying a PS4 game can be ported to the PS3 ... (difficulty does not necessarily preclude the chances of improbability)

Regardless, I'll still take Capcom's words over Iron Galaxy's likeliness of a potential port since the latter has NO internal information about the technical details of the game ...

Not really, Doom runs at an average 638p-720p while docked since the new patch

Interesting. Digital Foundry should do a follow up with the new patch. I wonder if it also fixed the frame pacing issues.

They did actually. And no, the frame pacing issue is still there.

But what would the compromises be?

Lower resolution, bad shadow quality and low resolution textures.

There are not many games of the current generation released on the Switch, we only got so far

-NBA 2K18 (1080p@30fps)

-Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 (900p@30fps)

-Doom (720p@30fps)

-WWE 2K18 (too shity to know what the resolution or the framerate are)

Since Monster Hunter World is a very demanding game, we could presume it could be the same as the Doom (and Wolfenstein II)
