Valve is bullshit for not making AAA games anymore ...

They need competition. Steam needs firm competition to incentivize the development of exclusives.

Valve are still making games. They just aren't pulling Big 3 style marketing tactics and hype trains. They still have a few more titles other than the Dota 2 card game, as well as a few VR titles.

Gabe Newell did recently say that Valve was finally going to start shipping games again, if that gives you any more hope.

At this point, I don't care anymore ... 

Heck, I'd be happy enough if Tencent or even Activision Blizzard/EA ever buys Valve to convert them again into game developers since the only franchises I pay attention to from them are Half Life and Counter Strike ... 

I try not to give Valve a damn dime as much as possible by doing my business elsewhere unless the said game is Steam exclusive ... (I really also loathe the idea of "licensing" digital copies rather than "owning" it so I only prefer digital retailers in an instance where I can purchase for cheap AND that it's content complete package too)

they can't top HL2. I doubt they can thats why they do not want to release it.

I doubt they even have half the game developers they used to have.
