I would have to assume most of these companies don't cater to many NRA members, otherwise they are going to get push back like the NFL did.
I also find it ironic that banks were promoting guns in a way. It would be like airlines promoting global warming/hurricanes.

Currently the Democrat running in the special election for my house district is against an "assault weapons" ban.

As long as there are gun-control wary Democrats (and people to vote them in office) gun control (at the level advocates want) isn't happening. 

My suspicions of what is going to get through either next week or the week after that? Background check reform, but not universal background checks (unless there is a bill that allows private sellers free-access to the system.) 

The NRA is bolstered by their influence on gun-rights voters, not by giveaways provided to them by for-profit corporations. 

Young teenagers can't (and older ones don't) vote, and will forget about this when they can and do. 

The real issue is that in the US we allow a private organization with 5 million followers and a boatload of cash determine the meaning of safety and “freedom” for 300 millions Americans. Toss in a few corrupted politicians that literally takes blood money from the NRA and you see why this issue will never be resolved in our lifetime.

Only people opposing NRA are against the 2A imo. Its obviously what the lefts end game is. Not a wise choice on their part.

The NRA represents more than just those five million members, just as the ACLU represents more than its 1.75 million members.

These are civil rights non-profits and an integral part of American democracy.

Direct donations to congress persons is a small part of the NRA's influence. Only something like 3% of Rubio's funding comes from the NRA, for example. 

What really makes the NRA powerful is that they motivate a large group of passionate single-issue voters to vote according to their report cards. 

Gun rights have become a life or death issue, it’s so outta control that nut jobs are taking their 2nd right and using it against defenseless children. Guns don’t make you free, nor do they protect your freedom they do one thing and one thing only and that’s obliterate life, at the moment mostly children life it seems.

It won't be the end of gun rights. That notion is ridiculous and used by right wing propaganda nut jobs. I'm a gun owner, I love them, but gun laws in this country are far to lax. Especially in my state, Arizona.

Ive tried remaining open-minded and at the most just wanted some simple gun reform to make the damn things less accessible to psychopaths, but it has gone past that at this point. there is no good reason why any US citizen needs to own a gun, and the longer we try to act like guns are not the problem, the more people are going to get killed.
