I haven't been back to Eurogamer since I read a review that complained about rebels not being respectful to the people who had invaded their country. It was hilarious and sad at the same time.

Exactly my reaction to all of this.

Politics shouldn't stay out of games. If the point of the game is to make a message, even one I disagree with, I can respect that. That said, once you bring it into your review, you deserve any scrutiny. And this is a hilarious example of how ignorant some people are these days. "I mean, I know there weren't a lot of black people in Europe in 1400, but does that mean this historically-accurate game can't have black people?" Seriously?

As always, the problem is a minority that is very loud and dominates media. Probably almost no one cares about it and are happy that it shows history as it should be, and im black. The vast majority of black people probably dont care also. But it just takes a few articles like this by a small minority to start some problem and affecr the game sales, picture the developer as racist and help the so called journalist to make a name for himself.
Then people complain that trump gets elected...

The developers are clearly a basket of deplorables.
