Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Which New 2018 Nintendo Switch Exclusives are you buying?

Not that many, to be honest. I don't want Bayonetta 1+2 until both games get a retail release, Kirby can wait until later this year, Project Octopath, SMT V and NMH Travis Strikes Back still need a release date and Pokemon and Fire Emblem haven't been formerly announced yet.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Deffo:
- Kirby
- Yoshi
- Metroid
- Mario Tennis

Maybe:
- Labo Starter Kit
- Donkey Kong
- Ridge Racer
- Pokemon

Definitely: Animal Crossing, Mario Kart (not that it will happen).

Probably: Pokemon, Smash, Metroid (metroid is definitely not a 2018 game.)

Maybe: Yoshi, Fire Emblem, Mario Tennis.

- Kirby Star Allies

- Nintendo Labo starter and Robot (definitely not interested)

- Mario Tennis (depending on reviews/amount of content)

- Yoshi Switch

- Project Octopath Traveler

- Fire Emblem (mainline) (basically a guaranteed purchase)

- Travis Strikes Again :No More Heroes

- Metroid Prime 4  (2019)

- Bayonetta 3 (2019)

- Shin Megami Tensei V (2019 - wasn't there a recent report development is only just properly underway?)

- Ridge Racer 8 (maybe)

- Runner 3

- Animal Crossing (if it happens, yes)

-Pokemon Switch (I think this is likelier in 2018 than Bayonetta 3 or Prime 4 - it will be a higher priority for Nintendo)

-Smash 5  I expect to see Smash 4 DX for Switch this year and would buy it

-Mario Kart 9 Kart 8 DX is doing the job - there's no need.

So there are 6 or 7 likely purchases from that list, and there are some I think we either won't see or won't see until 2019. Honestly, I think people expecting Prime 4 or Bayonetta 3 this year are in for a disappointment - I'm not expecting either until the second half of 2019.

With the addition of stuff like Ys VIII, Dark Souls Remastered, and (hopefully) Dragon Quest XI, there's already a good amount of stuff I'm likely to buy for Switch this year - there's sure to be more announcements, too.

- Kirby Star Allies (maybe)

- Nintendo Labo starter and Robot (nope)

- Mario Tennis (yes if its good)

- Yoshi Switch (maybe)

- Project Octopath Traveler (Yes !)

- Fire Emblem (Yes!)

- Travis Strikes Again :No More Heroes (Unlikely)

- Metroid Prime 4 (not 2018 but Yes!)

- Bayonetta 3 (Yes! 2018 unlikely though...)

- Shin Megami Tensei V (Yes ! In 2019...)

- Ridge Racer 8 (Unlikely)

- Runner 3 (Nope)

- Animal Crossing (Yes!)

- Pokemon Switch (Yes! First Pokemon since Diamond!)

- Smash 5 (Maybe)

- Mario Kart 9 (lol)

Considering there are multiplatform games I am interested in as well, this year should be good.

Hmmm based on that list this is what I will probably pick up:

- Kirby Star Allies
- Mario Tennis
- Yoshi Switch
- Project Octopath Traveler
- Fire Emblem (mainline)
- Travis Strikes Again :No More Heroes
- Metroid Prime 4
- Bayonetta 3
- Shin Megami Tensei V

And of course if these somehow happen this year I will easily buy all three.
-Pokemon Switch
-Smash 5
-Mario Kart 9

Of that list just Pokemon and Bayonetta 3 is all that interest me.

Bayonetta 3
Metroid Prime 4
Shin Megami Tensei
Fire Emblem

That's IF they come out this year.

Metroid prime 4, Fire emblem, octopath traveler, hollow, maybe no more héroes and bayoneta.

All if my wallet allows.
