And I wouldn't call it a "home console" either, because its sales are skewed by portability which is a huge advantage in Japan. Even Splatoon 2 will probably end up outselling MHW. Not saying you can't compare Switch to PS4, but excluding it makes sense as well. Everyone agrees PS4 stands no chance against Switch due mainly to the difference in form factor.

I don't believe in gens. I think gens are arbitrary. As far as the home console goes. It fits in that as well, the same way it fits in the handheld market also.
